i can understand marty being in net wiht hank playing in the asg and skills comp, would have rather him play against the devils rather than buffalo if it was one or the other but i have in our marty. gotta believe hank will be ready to go if this game shows any sign of getting out of hand early.
Yep can't say I understand this move especially with the Sabres tomorrow. Biron plays well against the Sabres with them being his former team and all, and we all know how Henrik plays against the Devils and Marty. Very Puzzling. Its not like Lundqvist had to over exert himself during the All-star break.

Makes no sense to start Biron tonight and not tomorrow. Lundqvist owns the Devils and Biron owns Buffalo. And the Devils are a much better team than Buffalo this season. Not happy with Torts decision on this one at all.

Yes, and I just checked their record for the first time, 7-13 (1-9 over their last 10), they STINK.... Trying to figure out which smart guys over at MSG decided to relegate the best team in the NHL to MSG2 for tonight (which for FiOS users, is unfortunately in SD and not HD).

It's all about the money... Even when the Knicks are playing like crap they get better ratings than a good Rangers team.
Hank played 20 minutes on Sunday, that's no reason not to play. Biron was great against Buffalo last time. Don't understand this one at all.
He also performed to some degree in the shootout challenge the previous night. It's travel and warmups and playing, even if it's all "easy" stuff. He started 5 consecutive games prior to the break. I'm sure they just want to give him an extra day of rest.
We're a good team that should be able to handle the Devils regardless of which goalie we start. On top of that, Biron is having an excellent season himself. Have some confidence in him and the team.
If we lose tonight, I guarantee it won't be because of Biron.

Rangers don't play again until Sunday after the game in Buffalo tomorrow night. Is it possible they didn't want Hank sitting for so long had he played tonight as opposed to tomorrow?
im fine with biron starting. hes a solid goalie with a solid defense in front of him.
and im not saying this a factor but i dont mind henrik watching the pace of a normal game before he gets back in net after playing in the circus that is the ASG
