Isles Come out of Break Needing to Break out

http://www.newsday.com/sports/hockey...-out-1.3491129

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Jack Capuano said there wasn't much discussion about the predicament the Islanders jump right into Tuesday night. They have 34 games left to make up a 10-point gap between themselves and the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference starting here against fellow basement-dweller Carolina. The Isles have six games over the next two weeks to determine where their season is headed.
"If we're talking about that a lot," Capuano said, "we're talking about the wrong thing. We know where we are."

There's always hope. But I think losing both games to the Leafs was a major death blow. I wouldn't be surprised to see this 2 game losing streak turn into a 5 game losing streak.
