Max Pacioretty

Max Paxioretty

Pacioretty is our star player. Be happy we have a star player now. He is incredible and his trade value is enormous right now. no team in there right mind wouldn't take Pacioretty.

That being said he's here to stay. Untouchable. He is toted as having the best work ethic and attitude of anyone his trainer has ever worked with. I look forward to years of Pacioretty and his rising star power play. buy his jersey, it'll be relevant for a looonnnggg time lol.

You'd be hard pressed to find a better young trio like that (G-D-F) on any roster in the league.

Give me Pacioretty over Benn any day of the week!
It's more the fact that he's a big 2-way C which is alot more valuable than Patches who's a big offensive powerfoward type of player.

That is not true man, I agree Benn is better two-way and more valuable to most of the teams. But Max carries is line too. Look at how DD got fired up when Patches woke up, look at Gomez.. Patches carries is line just as much.

This sounds right.

4-Ryan Mcdonagh
5-Logan Couture
6-PK Subban
7-Kevin Shattenkirk
8-Jakub Voracek

Mcdonagh is way to high man... Clearly overrating him.

12-Alzner
13-Perron
14-Shattenkirk
15-Turris
Hm:Sutter, Blum and Frattin
This would be my top 15... But after JVR it's a huge crap shoot imo.

1. Kane
2. Benn
3. Pacioretty
4. Couture
5. Subban
6. Voracek
7. McDonagh
8. Perron
9. Simmonds
10. Frattin
11. Shattenkirk
12. JVR
13. Sutter
14. Turris
15. Gagner

The top-15 in my opinion. Eller is right at #16 in my ranking.

I know Frattin might look like he's ranked high, but if we had to re-do the draft, he'd be ranked right there. He's a special player. I've liked him for quite some time and he reminds me of Backes in many ways. The Leafs have a good one. I hope they panic and trade him away at some point.

It's interesting to see Voracek in many top 10 in this thread. Last year only, nobody would have put him in a top 10. It means that we won't know for sure who was the best pick untill another 3-4 years. For all we know, Voracek could score 40+ goals for the next 4-5 years, suddenly becoming the undispute #1 pick (not saying it will happen, lol)

Max is not a star player and he's behind Price and Subban. He'll probably also be behind Galchenyuk once he develops as well.

Max is a legit first line player who goes to the net. He's great at what he does but calling him a star player is a stretch.

Price is our star goaltender.

Subban is our star defenceman.

Pacioretty is our star forward.

Pacioretty had a full spread in hockey's yearbook magazine last year.
he is a star player. for you to say he isn't is pretty ignorant no offence. He's not nobody.

He's not nobody but he's not a star player. He can be a good 1st liner though.

His career high is 30 goals and 65 points dude. Guess it depends on your definition of 'star'.

He's good and he'll improve but I see him as a legit first liner, not a star. Anyways, I'll leave it at that...

Just some numbers... since the start of 2011-2012 season...

Pacioretty is 36th with 81 pts and 16th with 39 goals in 95 games.

He's one of the 18 players who have 0.4+ goals/game avg (min 100 games) since 2010-2011.

He's pretty damn good.

In your opinion Lafleurs Guy. (And I'm not trolling for a argument)
Just want your hockey opinion of what it would take in your mind for him to be considered our star forward.

We got the best player in that draft.....Just look at what Max has been through already in his short career. There arent too many players that could come back like he has with all his short comings.
The man is a beast..........thats why the call him "Wolverine"

He's all about goals. If he starts averaging 40 goals with some consistently, he'd be a star forward. One season at 30 goals doesn't make him a star.

He definitely has star potential, remains to be seen if he can fulfill it. I think if we team him with Galchenyuk, they could be deadly together.

MaxPac is going to pull away as Habs scoring leader... and challenge to be one of the best NHLers of his generation.

He's a hell of man.

Had Chara not hurt him in 2011... no cup for the B's.

Of that I am certain.

Yeah, I can see what you mean for Perron and Alzner.
I hate Shattenkirk and I think he's incredibly overrated.
But yeah Perron and Alzner could be above them but when I think about Eller I see his potential being above both those guys. Perron is what ? A 50 point winger in his career and I think he will remain what he his(Not that it's a bad ceiling he's a good player.) And it's pretty much the same thing with Alzner...

Like I said it's a crap shoot after that and its down to team need for most players. Turris could be preferred over Eller too and I'd be fine with it. This is my personal list.

What I like about patches is when he's struggling he still seems to put points up on the board. The true markings of a star imo.
