Vincent Lecavalier is a "surdoué". Not that Hossa has no talent, he has natural ability. But thetwo are not in the same class. Hossa has had 4 years to develop. The time has come. Personally though, I just feel he doesn`t stack up next to some of our other pups who also deserve a chance.

well i used the french word because there is no real translation for it in english.

it kind of means "very talented", "over talented", "of elite talent"...

somethin like that.

The best translation for the word surdoué would be "gifted by god with incredible talent"... IMHO

Hossa already scored 7 goals yet in Europe. Looks like he his producing great and his confidence is back.

Let's keep our quality prospects. Hossa is big and have talent. Exactly what we need.

I really prefer keeping him then having a 2nd round pick that will take 4 years to develop.

I think the fans expected too much out of Hossa because of his bloodlines. Once he doesn't live up to expectations they turn on him. He will never be a top six forward but think of a fourth line forward instead. Maybe, a third line forward in his career years. Different type of player than Jason Ward but similar story and impact.
