NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

We want to try to pick up where we left off. That’s easier said than done. But the guys are mature. We come to play for each other and we want to win every night.
You could expect a practice like this to be sloppy. But it wasn’t. Tomorrow will be the same thing. We’ll try to keep getting it back. It’ll be nerve-wracking in the first period getting our legs back.
- Brandon Dubinsky

Me and Hank always have a good competition, even in practice. I was fortunate to be lucky against him. He’s one of the best, if not the best, goalies in the world.
- Marian Gaborik

They practiced really well and were full of energy. I wanted to stop the practice after 20 minutes and bottle it because I thought they were that good.
- John Tortorella

The key to defeating the Devils is simple: Shut down their 1st line. Simple as that.

I feel so dirty clicking on the devils board by accident. Now because of that I want the Rangers to beat the **** out of those devils. That board is so off topic, it's ridiculous. Expecting big games out of the All Stars.

I expect 2 points. I don't expect to win by alot of goals, but I expect to control play.

Rarely do I ever hear Torts praise the team to the point where he actually wants to stop practice because they're THAT good.

That is a terrific sign. I think this team is such a cohesive unit. Continue working as a team, play your blue-collar way, and good thing will happen.

We're in the doldrums of the season now. We're past the holidays, past the All-Star breather... now we go into the thick of the season. A lot done, but a lot more to go. This is the time of the year a team can get lost in the woods. Its a mental battle now. Stay focused. Soldier up. Let's Go.

Love Torts' quote. Many coaches would have let the players go early when doing so good. We could be 47-0, and Torts would still make them work their ***** off

Time to focus for the playoff push. I don't want to see the guys mail it in and settle for a 5th seed because Philadelphia and Pittsburgh will be coming hard at us. Let's start with a nice 4 point road trip tonight and tomorrow.
