Can't believe I have made it this long with out hockey. I do have a life after all.

Pretty sure most didn't think we would see RNH first game back. Sure wanted to see Gilbert or Barker back to relieve the D corps.

That said I think this will be a close one.

Still 4 weeks until the trade deadline - lots of time to showcase Bulin, plus his numbers speak for themselves. If Dubnyk getting 3 starts in a row is tied to the prospect of Bulin being traded, it probably has more to do with the Oilers braintrust trying to determine whether DD can handle being the starter for the remainder of the year if Bulin is dealt.

Or, Bulin has an injury they are nursing. Or, DD is just playing better than Bulin right now.

Good point so maybe its the other way around. They are showcasing dubnyk because they are stuck with Khabby for another year and want to try and improve goal tending for next year.

with both of those D men coming back soon.. somethings got to give (in terms of roster spots). I would imagine that Barker will get a conditioning stint in OKC which will buy time to trade one of the others..?

I never thought I would say this, but thank goodness the All-Star festivities are over and crappy Oiler hockey is back! Hoping for a good game out of Gagner tonight. Hopefully Whitney endures.
