This is good to see. It shows they're actually rewarding guys for playing well. Everything needs to be earned, nothing should be given.

Goes to show that we need to be patient with guys in their first year of pro hockey coming out of junior.

See: Pitlick, Tyler. Hamilton, Curtis.

Hope he can have a little success. I could see him struggling with the speed at this level though.

Wouldn't mind seeing him on the PP.

he deserves the call-up, but his speed is apparently still an issue (that he has also been dealing with under nelson's watchful eye).

i don't have a transcript but I remember listening to an interview with nelson on Gregor's show and Nelson believes that, while he's not ready RIGHT NOW to be an NHLer it's really only his speed that's holding him back. Otherwise Nelson's review of Cornet's development and play was nothing short of "glowing" to the point that you might go blind from it.

Totally agree. Nice that the big club is giving him a shot for some hard work down at the farm.

Haven't watched OKC much but the 20goals may not be as much of a stretch as the stats gurus make out.

Apparently all the goals are coming from near the net and from a guy that is parking it around the crease. Its possible to sustain higher shooting % from close range chances.

20 goals in 38 games? Not too shabby

Example: Ryan Smyth has a career 11.7% shooting percentage with a shovel.
