IMO if the Habs are only 4 points out after the next 12 games it won't be a tough decision for PG at all.. He will be going for it instead of selling..

More of the same, I'm guessing: 4-6-2
...or there abouts. Hovering just below .500 like they have all season.

ppl think we need 92 pts but the teams ahead of us are all playing bad as well. And i did not verify the numbers but i think up to now there is less 3 pts games then last year. hell, 2 years ago we were 8th with 88 pts. I don't know why but i think they'll climb back into playoff contention soon.

What was the longest recent winning streak for the habs? Like when was the last time we won 10 in a row or something?

if I was to go with what I'd be "happy" with, I think I'd actually prefer a slide in the other direction, as I'm not sold on this group making a deep playoff push, and given everything, the best thing for us -long-term, would be to make the most of the vet assets we have as bait to stockpile some young assets/picks, and then head into the offseason ready to make either a serious move at the draft to land the superstar caliber player upfront that we have lacked WITHOUT gutting our current quality depth (either by drafting in the top-5, or by pulling off the right trade/signing Parise).

in that sense, I'd be 'happy' with an 2-8-2 slide (even while being miserable with each loss... the insanity of fandom i suppose)
Yes, very troubling being a Habs fan this season.

I think they won't do bad, but I don't see them doing great.

6-4-2.

Quite frankly, the only thing I hope for this season is that management doesn't trade for an aging veteran to try to salvage the season.

Personally... ask me after 6 more games.

If they close the gap to 4 points out, then it will be interesting.

Montreal won't be the only team picking up the slack over the next stretch, you can count on that. Gonna be tough.

Habs is 500 team. The next 12 games should be like 5-5-2.
