It's fun always tuning in to NBAtv every time they seem to be talking about JaVale McGee and how it was the Wizards holding him back.. as if he weren't a part of how terrible the team was. Even as bad as they are now, they're clearly a better team without Young and McGee. Do these guys just ignore the fact that both players aren't exactly tearing up the league with their new clubs or what?
It sucks being a fan of one of *those* teams, though.
It's a good sign so far, but the Cubs are going to be one of the worst teams in the league. I would hope even an average Nats offense could get some hits off them. Nice to see them tagging them finally.
Hahaha! That staff is going to win a lot of games if they get anything like that run support on a regular basis. Fun team. Even if you can't count on nearly that much offense from that roster too often, I like watching NL teams manufacturing runs. Deep pitching is fun.
Taking my Dad to opening day on Thursday as a mini celebration on being in remission with his leukemia, but I have never been to Nats Park to see a game. My Dad has a hard time getting around right now thanks to some medication he had to take, so any tips on where good handicap parking is, and how early to get there to get a good spot would be really appreciated.
Nats basically got two wins because Kerry Wood does not belong in the Majors anymore, but I am not complaining. It will be nice to get Morse back.
You could argue it the other way that if it wasn't for the wind blowing in on Thursday, Zimmerman would have had 2 home runs in the early part of the game and it would have been a whole different game heading into the later innings.
