Disagree on that one Singin. The Americans are not so deep that a player like Callahan, who can play in all situations and provide leadership to boot. are a dime a dozen.
I think they are deep enough that the captain won't be Callahan. I'm sure he won't mind much since he's definitely going to have an A since Torts should be an assistant again (he will still get an A without Torts' help). But the question for me is, what if Tortorella is the HC? Will Burke step in to decide captaincy because it will be more fair?

I think he's saying that its just very unlikely Callahan is going to be captain.
We were talking about this awhile ago on the main boards.. but with Parise, Brown and Suter both coming off of wearing an A in 2010, you'd figure one of them would be given the 'promotion'.
Would think Parise is front runner to get the 'C'.

As I read it, Singin' said there's a better chance Callahan is not on the team (which I disagree with) than him being named captain (which I didn't say anything about). Personally, I think Callahan is a no-brainer to be named to the Olympic team--can play in every situation and on any line.
