That's why he shouldn't be on PP right now. I'll take Hagelin or even freaking Mitchell in that spot. And the refusal to use Stralman opposite MDZ or Richards on the point is mind-boggling. He has better offensive instincts than Danny G. and it's not like Girardi needs any more ice-time. Torts is just sooo frustrating at times...

Thought Hagelin had a very, very good game. Damn that guy is fast as hell.

Stepan also had a really good game and Girardi was pretty good in the back-end.

Biggest problem facing both these teams are our atrocious power plays...

Only PP goal came off the rush and both teams gave up significantly better scoring chances to the other teams' PK.

Maybe next week we can just agree not to take any power plays

Tough loss. Devils got a lucky break, but Clarkson still has to bury the goal. It happens. What I wanna take issue with is the dickbag ****face behind us tonight. One of our "fans". This piece of **** wouldn't shut up the whole time, was slobbering over his LGR chants cause he was so drunk, consistently tried to shout the Devils fans down by himself with whatever chants they were doing, whether it was a Rangers suck chant or a LGD chant. Just an obnoxious fricken pr*ck, who deserved to be punched in the face. And then when there was under a minute to go, this a**hole starts chanting "You can't beat us!" and right as he got that out of his mouth, the Devils tied the game. Nice going you f***ing ****head. Shut your damn mouth until the game is over.

And then, right after the Devils won it in the shootout, this prickface jumps over the back seats and high tails it out of there..doesn't even have the balls to walk down the stairs with everyone else. You ran your mouth the whole time, we lost..take your medicine like a man you p***y!

Other then that, it was a great game, despite the outcome. But bad bounce or not, we allowed the Devils to hang in this game. It's over and done with. Beat Buffalo tomorrow..in the game Biron SHOULD HAVE BEEN starting. Still pissed that Henke sat tonight. You don't sit him against the Devils coming out of the break, when you're playing Buffalo the next night. Bad move in my opinion, but whatever.

Off to bed..night all. LGR!!

I think I have met this fan at the last game. Did he start to lose his voice after screaming through 3 periods?
___________

Good game, guys. Wish it weren't so sloppy at times; the ice was crap, but both teams played well, I thought. Del Zotto and McDonagh were awesome.

Can't wait for our next meeting.

Bah. Let's call it like it was - a good game played by both sides. It was back and forth, but the Rangers had it at the end... and then a lucky bounce sent it to OT. The Rangers had the better of the play in the extra period, but once it went to the SO you knew they were going to lose.

Strålman was great, my potg well. Devastating loss at the hands of the Devil's boards.

Yes he was. Him and Del Zotto was real good tonight, showing the importance of not only having D's that throws bodies around. I feel bad for Anisimiov, he's really struggling. Same for Dubi&Richards, even though not that bad.

This. "And Girardi whit a shot....it goes wide". As much as I love every other aspect of his game, let him rest for the PP.

It was a holding penalty imo, but no slashing what so ever.

Who, except for Sauer, do you play as a top 6 over Stralman? Bickel/Eminger?

McD - Girardi
MDZ - Strålman
Staal - Eminger (Sauer)

Until Staal gets his game back..
Wildly inconsistent still imo

Not too worried about this. The goals we conceded were a powerplay goal, a turn-over by a personal mistake (Callahan) and a lucky bounce of the boards.

We got a point, we scored 3 goals and Lundqvist got to rest a bit.

3 Stars: Marian Gaborik, Carl Hagelin, Ryan McDonagh

The good: Gaborik and Hagelin getting some points and defenders being able to score goals. Good to see Stralman getting a goal
The bad: Not so much the defending but the amazing skills the Devils have up front with Parise, Kovalchuk and Elias.
The Redden: The boarding behind the Rangers goal for bouncing the puck back into play

Agreed. It was a retarded move by Anisimov with the Rangers leading late. Refs will make that call every time.

My buddy (lame Devils fan) said he was at the Rock the other night to see the Devils/Sabres game. He said the same bounce happened during that game, but for sabres. can anyone confirm that?

Nice to see they worked hard to fix that if true.

Someone else said it in another thread.

I do believe I've seen it on the MSG highlights.

This is true, it was Jordan Leopold. It was at the other end, though.

Thanks man. Was it the glass or the boards on that one?

I'm having a hard time finding any video at all from that game (besides the shootout). If I remember correctly it was the glass.
