Seriously should have played Hank tonight and Biron in Buffalo. Not that I'm blaming Marty for the loss but I think Hank would have fared better.

Callahan had a horrible turnover. He got a little greedy... he should have just cleared it.

Dat bounce... Just horrible. I really have no other words.

Signing? Not a great one thus far.

That said, I knew we would lose this as soon as it went to a SO.
6 game winning goals. Not too shabby.

We lost?

Welp, I'm going to avoid the boards until the puck drops tomorrow. Someone tell me later if anyone here gets the balls to actually jump off the ledge like they always say.

Haha, I know. More funny considering we wouldn't be making the playoffs in recent years without it.

Some of you guys need to step back from the ledge. It's a frustrating loss for sure, but it is what it is. Win the next game and everyone will feel much better.

i swear their stadium is like cube and changes to angle the puck to go where they want it. either that, or midgets moving the boards.

This. The Rangers didn't play great. The Devils best players were very noticeable at the end of the game.
They didn't win tonight. Play with anger and snarl tomorrow.

It's our own fault that our roster mostly consists of grinders rendering us virtually ineffective in the shootout.
The problem now is that shootout's technically don't have the same value as a regular win. The Devils pretty much automatically lose any and all tiebreakers this year.

That's definitely true. Credit to Kovalchuk, he had Biron frozen like a statue.

The shootout still feels like a ******* idea to me. I'd rather see a game end in a tie than watch that awkward sideshow ending.

That was the Devils' biggest win of the year? Really? It was an absolute joke. They celebrated like they won a playoff series.

I've always disliked the shootout, even if the Rangers benefited from it in previous years. It's a skills competition to decide a hockey game. Just let them play 3v3, someone will score.

Dude I always hated the shootout. I was at the last shootout and besides the atmosphere it causes, I still hated it.

But if they aren't tied with anyone, they are just like a normal win.

I'm not saying he hasn't been good this year or that he hasn't scored big goals for us, because he has, but we do need more consistent production from him. He cannot continue to have these 10 game stretches where he disappears.

The shootout is an absurd little sideshow, and the fact that the Rangers have typically been good at it doesn't nullify its ****tiness.

When Machinehead is agreeing to this, it really must be true. I lead the board in suicidal tendencies.

Was I the only one that thought Stralman had a really good game?

He scored a goal, and he made some very good defensive play. There was a bit of a cluster **** during a PK, at which point he came across, sliding on the ice and got really close to the puck handler, cutting of all angles. He also had that great diving play in OT, where he ended up in the net (don't remember if it was his fault that it was a 2 on 1 to begin with).
