Looks like Carolina and Buffalo tied at 2-2 after two periods and amazingly Toronto is up 2-1 on Pittsburgh in the second.

Carolina - Buffalo 2-2 - heading into overtime
Toronto - Pittsburgh 2-3 with 15 mins to go.
Let's hope Pittsburgh wins and Carolina wins in OT/SO

Buff wins and Toronto loses so we split...not bad. Every ninth place or worse team that loses inches us closer....

I find the more I scoreboard watch, the more I go nuts. Let's just concentrate on our teams games. We have the division right now and we hold our own destiny right now.

is there a week where ottawa and winnipeg dont play at all and the panthers play three games?
Im tired of waiting 5 days in between games our fate lies in our own hands but it sucks waiting around waiting for the game to be played.

i hate talking about the playoffs. we have 17 games left this team could easily go 5-12 and **** on our show.
Im not confident in our inconsistency that has plagued us since december. i hate not knowing what to expect on a nightly basis from this team.
Just take it a game at a time that's all.

Confidence in this team is not your strength. But they have given us reason after reason THIS yr to be. We have been streaky since mid dec., but (veterans with cup experience) have not allowed it to bother them, becuase they know one secret after loss or losses...amnesia.
Confidence in our franchise is no ones strength. And theyve given us NO reason to be.
I would have started a playoff matchup thread, especially after seeing ATF's great espn link, but the jinx factor that fears this board would have swallowed me alive.
In any event, enjoy the ride my gator friend, its the first time we are in a good position as we round the clubhouse turn, its that knot in your stomach that we we all live for...

Well Winnipeg loses tonight so that is good. Here's what's on tap for tomorrow.
Caps play a matinee in Boston. Boston has to play Pittsburgh on Sunday (Crosby's first game back on national tv) so that makes you wonder if the Marty Turco era begins tomorrow afternoon. No way Thomas plays back to back games.
Philly has a HNIC tilt against the Leafs. Put a fork in them they are done.
Buffalo is at Ottawa. Tough game but Go Sens
And finally "The Divers" travel to Tampa. This really sucks having to root for Boston and Carolina in the same day.

No way. A hot Brodeur (no matter how crappy his dmen are) is not something I'd want to have the possibility of playing.
That man is a playoff beast.

True enough. But the Cats match up better with NJD than any other team in the playoff mix.

A great game played by the Panthers last night..it just burns me our record in OT...13 loser points. If we had just 4 or 5 of those games the race wouldn't be a race. Aaaaargh. If Goldie calls Wolski a shootout specialist one more time I'm gonna scream.

I agree Brodeur would probably steal them a game or two but I still think in a 7game series we can pull it out as long as we are healthy.

We match up real well against the devils.
Believe me Bordeaur has broken my heart many times, but no matchup is perfect.
I like us against Ottawa too.
Let's get there pleeeeeeze.

Panthers go down early in games..Caps lead early in games by two
And in the end...All is tied up!!!
Edit: 3-2 WSH..
