Oilers win 3-2 vs the Avs

Belanger's best game as an Oiler. Cornet not looking out of place (no panic in his game at all!). DUBIE!

We're on fire!

But I still can't figure out why players like Jones and Smyth are getting more ice time than Eberle. Our best forward deserves more than 14 minutes a game.

Really good to see Hall on the ice in the dying seconds to preserve the win. This team needs that competitive fire.

Oilers of 2011-2012 are the Devils of 2010-2011?

I wish I could get through a game without worrying about Hall.

Solid win. The Avalanche came on strong but unlike similar contests in November and December they didn't buckle and squander the lead.

Didn't see a lot of ice time in the third, but he looked good through the first two. Very good board work and making smart, simple plays. I didn't/don't have much hope for him as a prospect, but he could very well carve out a career on the 3rd line with his skillset.

Nice win by the boys. Good to see Belanger finally get a goal. Really impressed with Cornets play, especially in the first.

Pretty good game, Dubie stood on his head. Cornet looked alright - he's pretty slow though. Great to see Belanger actually score a goal using his stick.

I hope Hall is alright... looked like his shoulder again.

If Renney is still head coach next season then he'd better be prepared to turn the reigns over to Eberle and Hall completely. Horcoff's ice-time munching should be coming to an end.

Apparently at the end of the season when OKC players had their season end interviews with the coach, Todd Nelson told Cornet what he had to work on and Cornet took it to heart and really worked hard in the off season to pack on some muscle and work on his foot speed.

The results are showing. Good on him.

That's good and all but he's still a step or two behind. Cornet still needs to work on his footspeed if he wants to play in the big leagues.

Thats a damn good win. We're getting our core back slowly.

Is this a win that can get us going that we can really build on? Maybe we still haven't played our best hockey this year.

Decent game, i hate that they were so passive after the strong 1st period and it almost cost them but that's a Renney coached team for ya.

It's good to see Dubnyk play well but i could do without the softie that he gives up every game like he did on the 2nd goal.

This team really needs Gilbert back. The 2 bottom pairings got owned a bit in the last 2 periods. Smid and Petry are our only reliable pairing right now.

Anyway, 2-0-1 in their last three. Yay!!!
