I think he has more to do with the game then you think. I know I would be playing a little more free knowing he was there. He takes away some of the accountably for the players just having him there to regulate.

Yes I was thinking of the movie when I said that.

If you are going to quote TOI at least have the decency to look it up, or at least guess the minutes column correct.

I would consider 15 shifts, playing, don't you?

Come on. He played less than eight minutes. He's a defenseman. Eight minutes as a defenseman is DJ King ice time and you know it. Don't let your agenda dictate your interpretation of the facts.

Did you see Downie pat Perreault on the rear after he high sticked him and got 4 minutes for it? That mea culpa was courtesy of Rechlicz. That's why Rechlicz dressed for last nights game.

Perhaps we will see Rechlicz again against the Canadiens and Rene Bourque.

Because Erskine is known for his ability to stop quick forwards, right?

Or it was because it was a complete accident...but yea let's grasp for straws to make sense of a pretty stupid roster move.

Yes sir. For a second I thought Downie was becoming human.

I think Joel was specifically brought up for Rene and the Habs. Would have looked too obvious if Hunter waited until Saturday to give him ice time.

I think we should just make the GDT right now and work ourselves up for a couple extra days.

Erskine's not the only alternative. Call up Kundratek. I'd rather see him in the lineup.

Is he didnt "play", what did Sarge do last night

Barely played, is still played. And played well in his limited role. +1, 1BS.

Not -4.

I wonder if rolling 2.5 D pairs is having an adverse affect on the development of one John Carlson. Sure its probably his high TOI, but hockey players are superstitious. They like consistency in partners and expectations. The pairs are getting scrambled up some, even if he is with the same guy more often than not.

Dale needs to start by cutting his TOI or responsibilities (PP1), do something.

Panthers fan here.

Versteeg is out with the flu, and Theodore is not playing because he's apparently not 100% yet.

Good...err, maybe not...luck tonight. Hopefully both teams can make the playoffs in the end and represent the Southeast, eh?

If your team plans on winning tonight, play nice and give us a point. It's been 10 years for us Panther fans; the 8th seed is like the 1st seed to us!

Ovy, Backstrom and Green are out.
Jeff Schultz is playing.
Matthieu Perrault is our 1st line center
With Versteeg out, the top goal scorer in your lineup tonight is a player we developed

We don't have any bones left to throw you.

Our situation is kinda similar, just not quite to that extent because the Caps are more talented, in general.

We have Versteeg and Kulikov out though. And Theodore. Some significant pieces to our team.

I'm guessing it'll be a close, entertaining game.

Those are unfair stats...Theodore doesn't have Carlson playing in front of him.

not much. its about half of what a standard 3rd pair plays. erskine averages over 12:00 this season. he averaged 14:49 last season.

7:42 isnt playing. of course if you are considering playing 1:49 as playing, then 7 minutes is holding down a regular shift.
