I don't want to offend Blunden and Darche but our Habs need to replace Gionta and Roy is a center. I would consider a Gomez + xyz for Roy though!

Roy - Sabres forums... I'd guess it's Derek Roy the player... not St Patrick

I assume so, as it's coming out of Buffalo.
If so, no thank you. Kind of the opposite place we've been heading over the past few months..

Oh boy I'm out to lunch on this one.
Why the hell would we want Roy?
Can he get fired already?

Small, not very good in the playoffs and we already have 4 offensive centers, makes no sense.

Guys, I think PG is definitely trying to save his job, and make the playoffs...I know most on here don't want the organization to be thinking that way, but he is out there, and active...and not sure if everyone is going to be thrilled with some of his decisions.
He may be responding to what Geoff Molson is telling him?

Let's offer them Morgan Ellis and see if they are confused enough to bite.

If Pierre "The Ghost" Gauthier makes that trade I will personally make sure he lives up to his nickname.

My guess is he's travelling to sale, not to buy.
And imho PG and the habs don't give a crap about Derek Roy.

Why not, this Eller is a mirage. After 4 goals in one night after been benched by RC, he dissappears of the NHL.
He is essentially a defensive center with limited offensive abilities. His hockey vision is poor, he is keeping the puck too long, so his wingers are covered when finally he can see them on the ice. I doubt that he will come an offensive center star one day.

Roy is a good player he is small though and a bit of a diver imo, the thread title totally threw me off. Still though I question the direction of this team they should be sellers not buyers.

I guess it would have to be Plekanec for Roy. Roy has better offensive numbers, but Plekanec is a little better in is own zone. Both are underachieving this year. Both suck in the playoffs. However that would be a very lateral move.

I'm scared to death of what this man can do. I really am...
With Molson's comments and the Cammalleri for Bourque trade, I get the feeling that he thinks there is still something to salvage for this season.
