I love it. He's only going to get better and develop into a more complete player in his role.

wtf..I wanted to post it, but my log in didn't work for a few secounds and I wasn't the quickest any more ..

Seems to be a good deal for us, I mean you can't argue the cap hit, and people like him here. At least he gets two more years to convince me that we really need him

Awesome signing by Ray! Vitale has earned every penny of that contract. He has been an awesome 4th liner who can potentially develop into a solid 3rd liner and a top PK unit forward. Still wondering if some people would rather be paying 2 mill a season for Talbot.

Very nice!!! I'm hoping he can become a Cooke type. Grinding, well rounded player that can go 15G's 15A's.

Great depth signing and at bare minimum hit! Can't ask for more than that!

Less of an agitator that takes bad penalties though. But much like Cooke I think Vitale actually has quite a bit of skill to his game that often goes unnoticed. I'd be stoked if he can turn out to be a 25-30 point guy down the road!

Very good to see. He's earnt it after a great season so far, I'd say he's one of our top 3 on the bottom 6.

Good for Joe V. I root really hard for guys like that, and he can now rest easy knowing he's going to be a regular NHL player.

Just curious, is this a 2-way contract?

I doubt it. I don't think it would matter anyway.

I doubt it, it would be more expensive if the first year was a 2-way deal.

Nice cap number for him. He has his limitations, but he plays as hard as anyone on the team. He'll definitely earn every penny.

Good deal, and a good price. Ideal 4th liner who can fill in on the 3rd line if injuries occur.

Thank god we were able to get Joe under contract... I was beginning to get a bit worried there, but it seems like Shero made the right decision in prioritizing this contract over Crosby's new deal.

Now it's time to plan the parade...
