Laviolette should be instructing the Flyers to double-team Bouillon in the 3rd. He's the only Predator (I can see) who doesn't have a goal this season.

After a pretty solid start to that period, the tempo fell off a little bit. We did a fine job of not allowing them entrance to our zone though. We made it a lot tougher for them in this period than the first.
We were taking way too long shifts the first 10-15 minutes of the second period. Carle and Rinaldo especially had some really long ones, I think.
That 5-3 was terrible. Really bad. Giroux looked frustrated.
Read is making himself one of the most valuable guys we have. Two more season of this at 900k. I like it.
Lilja is dumb. I mean, for a veteran player he is really not the brightest player out there.
PK was terrific once again. Timonen-Coburn pairing especially. Coburn is having a really strong game so far.

Even the positioning of the Flyer skaters was awkward. They just didn't take advantage of the wide open spaces. And those short passes along the blue line just helped the Predators kill time.

Yeah, they didn't seem to be in agreement on which set play they were going with. That first attempt that ended with Voracek(?) passing to no one in front of the net looked awkward from the start.
It was too bad they couldn't take advantage of that opportunity. A five on three for about ninety seconds, with the other team's perhaps best penalty killer in the box is not often you're granted.
