Play good defense all around and this is what happens

Rinaldo was surprising this game. His line with Schenn and Simmonds looked like the best forward line of the game.

Rinaldo and Sestito should always dress. When you play a physical game your players come to play more often then not. It builds chemistry.

Great win!!

Great Game, complete effort. Special mention goes to Lilja who looked great tonight, makes a huge difference going down the stretch.

Amazing how my perspective has shifted now that he's wearing our colors.

Lookin good ! Bryz is slowly settling in which is a nice sign, and our crop of youngsters continue to impress ! Simmonds had a heck of a game tonight and the other night as well....He is looking like a Hartnell knock off with better speed.

OFFICIAL THREE STARS:
  • Read
  • Simmons
  • Schenn

Lisa Hillary from Comcast picked the three stars.

Great game... playing like a team. Simmonds rules, and Schenn looks really good. Happy about Bryz, too. Lavy needs to keep putting him out there and giving him more confidence.

Simmonds did have 10 shots. Team record is 14 by Eric Lindros in 1996.

Pretty solid win in the end. Team defense has definitely improved lately, though we still make a few too many easy mistakes. We are playing with a whole bunch of rookies though, so it's kind of expected.

Hopefully this will get Giroux and the first line going. They had another down game, but on the bright side (outside of Giroux' two points, and Jagr giving up the goal to Roo): Hartnell always does his job, Giroux continues winning in the faceoff circle, and Jagr definitely looks better than when he came back from his injury troubles the last time.

Bryzgalov had a solid game in net. Some really strong saves and generally looking a lot calmer than earlier in the season. Hopefully he'll continue playing like he's done the past few games.

Coburn had a strong game as well. He was really good on the pk.

G has won 145 out of 262 faceoffs since the new year, good for 55%.

Wayne "Gretzky" Simmonds played great tonight. Whats that 5 points in 2 games against the Preds this year?
Dr. Jagr gave Giroux what he needed.
Lilja was.....there. Good job drawing a penalty I guess.
Another great performance from Bryz. Hope he keeps it up. Solid game from all.

As always thanks to MSE for his dedication and hard work on the GDTs.

Nice he looked unbeatable tonight.

Now how far is Bryz from a 90 save % for the season?

Simmonds and Schenn were awesome....just love how determined this team is compared to last year...

So far no wall for the rookies...Read has been anything but overrated and no long term slumps so far and don't foresee any unless we really get rocked by injuries although it's hard to say we haven't this season already...

Since Suter will be ours soon anyway... could we call this a semi-shutout or something like that?

Zero. And the Flyers won 4-1. Three PPGs, two by LeClair.

Figures. I miss a game where everything goes right.

Lilja and Bryz play well, Rinaldo isn't over the top, Giroux, Brayden Schenn etc etc. Good to see the win.

I also think it's hilarious that Rinaldo has produced the same number of points as Andreas Nodl this year, and he's played in two less total games.

Sweet. If anyone asked you who would have more points at this point in the season Mike Richards or Wayne Simmonds, who would you of picked? I realize he has 7 more games played, and Richards doesn't have the best linemates, but I never would've guessed.

20 saves away from being 900 again. Which is quite an achievment considering how damn poor he was at the start of the season.

Anyone else think Bryz is going to be clutch down the stretch?

I would put Bryz as number 2, Simmer 1 and Read 3.

Good game by all overall. We just need to play with more grit at home. Zac played well with Schenn and Simmer.
