Great to see Lavy will have Lilja and Shelley in the line up
I don't know why Gus was taken out. I'm a huge fan of his game. For some reason he can do no wrong by me. Also thought I saw a beat writer say that rinaldo likely back in tonight. So he most likely will be replacing Shelley
I'd much prefer Gustafsson over Lilja, but at the same time I think I can see the reasoning behind scratching him. He's still getting pushed around a little bit too easily. He also made quite a few mistakes against the Jets, maybe it's a good thing to let him rest and watch a game from the press box.
I doubt it's a permanent move. Laviolette's generally trusted more minutes to Gustafsson than he's done to Lilja, so he can't be too disappointed with his play. In fact I think he's been given more and more minutes for each game since he returned from his injury.
Might be a good thing to give Lilja a game here and there down the stretch as well, in case we get an injury late in the season or in the playoffs it wouldn't be so good if he's not played since mid-January.
dollar dog nite!!!! come on guys, let's end this 3 game losing streak at home. got one chance, infiltrate them!
Is it really dollar dog night?? I looked at the Flyers website where all their promotions are and it said December 11th was dollar dog night and it has nothing for tonights game? I'm gonna buy some tickets either way but that would just make it ohhh so much sweeter!
Section 102... Me and the pops will enjoy watching this one baby! Im excited to see Shea Weber and Suter too.

Ahh thank you. I was on a different page on their website. I just googled it haha. Gonna be a great night! And i'm gonna weigh 12 pounds heavier when I leave there.
The start by Lindback should give goaltender Pekka Rinne a much needed rest. Rinne is on pace to play in 74 games. This would be his most in a season by a total of eight contests. He played 66 in between Nashville and Milwaukee in 2007-08.
“I looked during the break at games he could have off based on our schedule I said to him today, he may have this break and one more the rest of the month,” Trotz said. “It may fall to that.”
Trotz also said Francis Bouillon and Jerred Smithson would return to the lineup. Look for Jack Hillen to come out on the defensive side — he was the last defenseman off the ice this morning. In order to make room for Smithson, Trotz said he would scratch either Brandon Yip or Gabriel Bourque.
