G: everyone knows the good

B: everyone knows the bad

U: listening to the NBC crew gush over the Rangers and esp. Gaborik who did NOTHING in this game until the shoot out. I guess one needs to pander to their #1 market......

Can someone post the Gaborik goal video? I never did see how and where it crossed the line.... (Looks like it went post to crossbar and then ???)

Simply missed it and they only showed 2 replays in total and I can't see it.

So what now? If they play like that night in and night out they'll make it up to right around the cutoff.

Also, lol

Sabres have scored 8 goals (not counting the ENG) over the past 7 games.

Ugly: Pierre Maguire. I hate him. I hate him so much.

Great games by the goalies, loved the effort

great game. Seriously, a lot of fun to watch.

anyway, I don't feel the hate for Leino and Ruff for the Leino decision. The last two games, Leino's been easily one of our top 5 players. and I didn't think the shootout attempt was all that bad. Sure he should have lifted the puck, but the point being that Leino's first move was supposed to get Lund going to the right and he didn't bite. It wasn't such a bad shot as much as Henrik made it look like a bad shot.

anyway, good game. Miller's best back to back to back performances IMO in quite a long while.

Good....Ryan Miller, Ennis, Penalty Kill, 1 pt is better than none, Gaustad, Kaleta, Boyes
Bad.....Roy not being able to bury the game winner, Power Play, Leino's shot in the shootout, 2 pts would have been nice, Ennis' boarding call in overtime

Best game at least since the Lucic hit on Miller, if not all season. A ton of fun to watch. Great to see the fans getting into it. Lots of good tonight. Shame to come up short.

Good game, at least by the 'tenders.

Far as i'm concerned, this game is a tie, and we picked up an extra point in a skills competition.

That was one hell of a game. Both teams on 2nd of back to back and both teams has had so much jump. Probably the most exciting 0-0 effort that I've ever seen.

Good:
-Miller
-Ennis at center (he plays physical, assertive, creative, seems to be more aware defensively, and is even winning a majority of his face-offs, going 7-6 tonight)
-Lundqvist, he's just nasty

Bad:
-Call on Ennis
-"NBC Sports" play-by-play
-Tortorella (idk why, he just annoys me"

Ugly:
-PP seems disorganized... very disorganized

I think of this game this way: Had we won this may have been a season defining win. It might turn into a season defining loss.

And it just goes to show a NHL hockey game doesn't need to be a 4-6 game to be entertaining. Exchanging chances, end to end rushes, and good defensive play along with good goaltending is very fun to watch.

TO ALL THOSE wondering if this counts as a shutout for Miller:

NO, it does not.

You cannot have BOTH goalies in a game get a shutout. Doesn't work that way. Technically, the game ends 1-0. That "1" is on Miller.

No shutout.

Shootouts don't count in normal goalie stats (GAA, S%, and Shutouts).

It is a shutout. It is not the first time there has been a 0-0 game go to a shootout. And in every single one of those instances, both goaltenders got credited with a shutout. NHL.com will list this as a shutout. Yahoo gave me a shutout for Kipprusoff when he lost one of these many years back.

Shootout stats are kept separate from regular stats (the only exception is record).
