Hossa-Gaborik would work well for Rangers, I'm not sure Hawks would wanna give up Hossa but I'm sure Richards would be a decent replacement.

ur obviously a fan of the hawks so lets do a proposal that is similar to that one Kane for Gaborik ?? Both organizations are doing very well this year so why would they trade some of their best point producers.

I think Hossa>Richards plus this leaves a huge hole at center for the Rangers both teams say no.

They wouldn't this is a totally non-sensical move.

Hossa > Richards. Even when Richards isn't playing like garbage, Hossa is still better.

Please note that the OP doesn't speak for or express the opinions of any of the Ranger faithful on here.

The Rangers would have to add, and DRASTICALLY to get Hossa.

It seems to be the consensus that those two RWs would be great together.

Well then you've come to the right place. If there's anything I've learned about HFBoards it's that trades like these usually come true.

Brutal for Chicago. Hossa has a smaller cap hit and he's have the best season of his career. Could end up being their MPV by the end of the year.

Richards is looking pretty good, but you couldn't possibly expect the Hawks to be interested in a deal like this.

Hossa

for

Richards, Del Zotto, Staal

It would take this becuz it fills 2 chicago holes, d-man and centre.

And Hossa>>>>>>>>>>>Richards

Hossa's 33 with a ton of years left on his contract. Staal is 24--so you can ****ing forget it right there. Staal is a premier shutdown defenseman--he's been doing that against the likes of Malkin, Crosby and Ovechkin for a few years now--all of whom are better players than Hossa. I wouldn't trade Staal straight up for Hossa--you'd have to add.

I like Richards and all but Hossa's a beast....

And Staal is overrated...... But I still think Staal and Richards is too much.

Staal is getting his game back together after missing practically the first half of the season with a concussion. Marc is limited offensively. He is a 25-30 point a year player. The Rangers stick him on the pwp now and again but he's not instinctive enough as a playmaker though he has a pretty good shot. He's never going to be an offensive whirlwind.

On the defensive end--that's another story. He has a long body and a long reach and when he's on top of his game--he is a beast. He plays physical without taking penalties and his good skating makes him almost impossible to get around. He's quick on the puck and makes nice breakout plays. He's been a nightmare for Malkin, Ovechkin and Crosby to play against. Girardi, and now McDonagh as well.

4 years from now Hossa will be 37--no telling whether he'll still be the factor he is today. Got to think there will be some decline. Staal will be 28 and in his prime. From the Rangers perspective that is a deal killer--that's not the way they've built their team trading away younger players. If Hossa was in the East matched up against Staal--I suspect he wouldn't be scoring very much either. He's not as good as Malkin, Crosby. Those guys have problems when the Rangers match Staal against them--got to figure Hossa will too.

When I meant the Rangers would have to add drastically, I didn't mean like that. I meant like a prospect and/or pick.

Hossa is clearly a better player than Richards, even when Richards is at his best.
