2 Feb '12 - Wild @ Avs: Press Your Luck! - 8pm CST - FSNorth

We've got a game today! It's a road game! What happens with the Wild today? Lets find out:

Oh wait I guess the board is still stuck on last games total failure. The tech tells me they're trying to get it working again, but it takes a while.

Well, enough of that, moving on!

Today's Game:

@

Youngblood's Wild Gameday: http://www.startribune.com/sports/wild/138533899.html

Possible Lines:

Nick Johnson - Kyle Brodziak - Dany Heatley
Cal Clutterbuck - Matt Cullen - Devin Setoguchi
Darroll Powe - Warren Peters - Carson McMillan
Jed Ortmeyer - Chad Rau - Matt Kassian

Nick Schultz - Jared Spurgeon
Justin Falk - Nate Prosser
Clayton Stoner - Greg Zanon

Niklas Backstrom
Josh Harding

Gabriel Landeskog - Ryan O'Reilly - Milan Hejduk
TJ Galiardi - Paul Stastny - Peter Mueller
Daniel Winnik - Jay McClement - David Jones
Cody McLeod - David van der Gulik - Chuck Kobasew

Jan Hejda - Ryan O'Byrne
Kyle Quincey - Ryan Wilson
Shane O'Brien - Erik Johnson

JS Giguere
Semyon Varlamov

(Thanks Stories!)

I just hope they play all 60 minutes this time. Or if they take a few minutes off, do it early so they can fight back.

At this point all I want is for Heatley to finish the season with 30 goals or at least 27. That probably won't happen either.

Nice GDT! Not as rage-filled as I expected.

I'm just excited to watch hockey. Don't even care if we lose.

I'm trying to be like Yeo and look at the positives, so instead of ranting, I tried to be creative and make a funny image to channel my frustration instead.

I think I did okay.

Are those official lines or just assuming no changes to the lineup? I know Jarick was hoping for a Stoner/Lundin swap.

Looking for a bounce back game. I am hoping the Wild come out angry from the start.

Just assuming no lineup changes. I mean, would you? They played 50 minutes of solid hockey and had Nashville totally shut down until they just randomly imploded.

I can't see any forward lineup changes, but I'm with Jarick in thinking Stoner might spend some time in the press box. Then again, Yeo's kept Lundin out inexplicably before, so it wouldn't surprise me to see the same group.

There has to be something going on between Yeo and Lundin, and if its kept him out this long, I dont see Yeo putting Lundin back in until one of our D-men starts to go several games as a total liability.

Avs lines if they're the same as last game (at one point Kobasew and Galiardi were flipped), Giggy in net tonight:

Gabriel Landeskog - Ryan O'Reilly - Milan Hejduk

Daniel Winnik - Jay McClement - David Jones
Cody McLeod - David van der Gulik - Chuck Kobasew

Jan Hejda - Ryan O'Byrne
Kyle Quincey - Ryan Wilson
Shane O'Brien - Erik Johnson

JS Giguere
Semyon Varlamov

No prob! Though just found out that Jones and O'Brien are being scratched tonight from the Avs' Twitter. So it'll probably look like this instead if past history of lines is any indication:

Gabriel Landeskog - Ryan O'Reilly - Milan Hejduk
TJ Galiardi - Paul Stastny - Peter Mueller
Daniel Winnik - Jay McClement - Chuck Kobasew
Cody McLeod - David van der Gulik - Kevin Porter

Jan Hejda - Ryan O'Byrne
Ryan Wilson - Erik Johnson
Kyle Quincey - Stefan Elliott

I wonder if the Wild will pick on Lando again this game. They seem to have a way of doing that sort of things to rookies. Nashville's Smith sure got a crash course in keeping his head up last game.

Jeez that Varlamov trade isn't looking too good for Coly right now. You know you're not playing very well when Giguere is beating you out for the starting job. Granted Giguere actually is playing fairly well this year but still. Washington to get a top 10 draft pick?

This makes me wonder what a package of Lundin, Zidlicky and Zanon would fetch.

Eh, it's unlikely that Lundin gets traded. He's only signed for 1 year.

With the way Washington itself is playing right now we could be seeing the Capitals having 2 top 10 picks in the 1st and 2nd rds this coming draft.

I don't understand Sacco. Maybe he is in the mold of #FireToddRichards, but... I've never seen Gigeure do well against the Wild.

Second game I was at, Giggy was pulled for Hiller. Ever since then, all I've ever seen is him not doing so hot against the Wild.

/shrug

That being said, I think I'll go bet on the Avies to win...
