I didn't say top 10 centre, I said top 10 two-way centre... He's not a 1st line C, that's my opinion, but he is one of the best all-around two-way guys in the game.

But please, name 10 better two-way centres in the league today...

I'll start the list:
- J Staal
- R Kesler
- P Bergeron

Same problem Koivu had here. Could be a great number 2 center with a true top line center taking all the attention.

People need to remember that Pleks plays against the other teams top defensive players. If he played against 2nd stringers he'd put up alot more points.

This is why we need to tank to get Grigorenko or a true top line threat. Plkes would be a great 2nd tier guy.

Just look at Boston. Krejci and Bergeron can be much more effective once Seguin evolves into the superstar there.

Why bring common sense and facts into this thread?

Man, just give up...by using +/- stat to prove he isn't good defensively you're making Sarah Palin look like a legitimate politician.

If you want to impress with you knowlegde start acting like someone who can think without hating...

If you want to know how much weight +- has on bad/struggling teams, look at Phillips in Ottawa last year.

Didn't you know there are only 5 #1 centers in the league and 2 of them play for Pittsburgh.

Plekaned could be ok on a second line role, but DD as removed him from the spot being a better player and just getting better every game. You just cant have two smallish center.

That's ********. I'm sorry, I don't want to be pretentious but you hockey knowledge is quite low. Plekanec is an excellent 2nd line center and a borderline good 1st line center. If we have legitimate top 15 center in front of Plekanec, it would be great and you wouldnt say that the Habs or any team can't win the cup with him as a 2nd center.

If you understand the game just a little bit, you would know that Plekanec is great 2-way center, despite his recent offensive struggle.

So you think that if we have Getzlaf, Plekanec, DD, Eller, we have no chance to win the cup?

No, too small at center still. You need to remove either DD or Plek. I choose Plek

Did you already forget the 2010 run? He was playing big minutes against the best players in the NHL.

I'm still waiting for the list..

you can make up your own opinion, but you can't make up your own facts...

so please enlighten us. Name 10 centers that are better 2-way, 2nd centers than Plekanec today in the game. Simple. Two-way players. Good offensively, great defensively, used on the PP, on the PK, etc...

That's why the Bruins will never win a cup. You can't win with centers such as Kerjci and Bergeron...
