Yea. The government is already trying to practically censor the entire Internet. SOPA.

They pop up like mushrooms, and it's impossible to shut them all down, because they just spring up again faster.

the fact that some of these giant ass corporations can affect the government so much to the point where they are making laws for them is sad

You can't blame SOPA on this. As much as I love those sites they do have loads upon loads of illegal content

The other big threat is ACTA. The one that would have international effects on the internet.

It's not being corrupted. For better or for worse, self-interest (or greed) is the essence of capitalism, and never let anyone tell you differently.

I've bought a few CDs since middle and/or high school. But only for a select few artists that I felt like supporting. I can definitely count the amount of CDs on two hands though. If I had to guess, probably like 6-7 in the last 6 or so years since I was finishing up high school.

I didn't see your PM until 6:30 when I got home or I would have went :/

I've been working on some things this week that I can't really say I have any knowledge or background in so it's been a little hectic/stressful

Hey, it happens. No worries. I figured when it got to be 5ish that either you were on your way home and weren't going to see it until too late, or that you were busy and unable to be on HF to see the message, but its no big deal. Part of why I was hoping for a response is because I was going to offer them to Rob if you couldn't/didn't respond Did shoot him a text and he said he couldn't respond for what its worth. But take some solace in the fact I reached out to you before him.

Yea, I asked Rob if he was going and he said no. Mike, the tech guy went though. The office is dead from the people in Mexico with the team to people in California for a convention to people Austria at the global headquarters to people with connections with the Giants at the Super Bowl. I just hope I did my work all week right and tomorrow goes well.

No one loses money from me "stealing" the Super Bowl, it's ****ing broadcast over the goddamned publicly broadcast networks. It's FREE.

Exactly, this is another gov't backed power grab. Though the ones selling the fake merch? yeah I'm not gonna argue against them that's for sure

SOPA and PIPA is proof that our goverment is a complete and total failure, however our citizenry deserves it. They allow greed to rule. You look at the folks who backed SOPA and PIPA, follow the money. The guy who actually sponsored SOPA - the ecomm/internet industry as a whole was once the number 1 source of campaign donations. Last elections cycle? Hollywood/music/entertainment.

Paying for music? Yes, fantastic.

iTunes? Pure ****, sorry, it's just awful from a user interface level to a content distribution scheme.

You're part of the problem. Though I dont know there's a lot of kids on this sight, you're probably still in high school

The whole state of the entertainment industry is baffling right now. The greed there and in other industries is just out of check. I'm sorry but you cannot download sitting in a theater with popcorn and a spiked 17 dollar cup of soda, nor can you download the ear bleeding ferocity of a pit at a metal show. Yet these companies have invested big time in their so called clients, and you bet they are going to squeeze every last drop out of their assets, oh I'm sorry I meant clients.

Which leads me to iTunes - yeah it's nice if the music you like has representation that deals with them, but not only is there huge segments missing - even popular stuff - **** look at the ******** marketing stunt that was the whole withholding the Beatles catalog. I was shocked that worked. People were brainwashed into buying music they probably already owned again!

Currently there's no good digital music distribution for all parties. You either narrow yourself into what other people think is good, or you "steal" Same goes for that streaming stuff. Sorry but if I live in the States and I like to watch some Hurling team from Northern Ireland, am I really doing any harm to the sponsors of that team? **** no, I'm a fan, I probably buy **** from the internet too! That's the gap that they don't get - give them a taste for free and they'll be hooked for life

**** even the Devils marketing and ticketing department gets that one

Curious when you asked Rob. I would find it hilarious if you asked him either as I sent you the message, or when I texted him.

Not surprised people are all over the place at this time of year though. A bunch of the people in the offices within the Ops office are more associated with the team so that's expected. If any of the work related stuff involves things you may think I may be able to help with, let me know. I know a lot about the building obviously, and even though I never did the Ops internship there, I've done similar in Ops positions elsewhere. I'm more than willing to help where possible.
