Okay... Edmonton was a stretch I'll admit it haha.
But I see him in Chicago more than I see him here. We havent been playing good hockey, I don't think he was expecting to have to bail us out so many times.

Again, Chicago 'might' be a possibility for him next year. There's no guarantee. You really think a guy that was left with no options this past year in free agency would turn down a definite offer from a playoff team in Washington for the chance that Chicago might offer him? I doubt it.

No no you guys, Grubauer is the flavor of the month. He won ECHL rookie of the month, which is way more impressive than 2 consecutive Calder cups 2 years ago, and NHL rookie of the month last year.

If you count playoffs, he's played in 57 games in each of the past three seasons in NA.

It's not the sheer quantity so much as how he gets those starts, though. He's frequently been put in for consecutive games as the "hot hand" or straight-up starting goaltender. Until this season, it's been rather rare that he'd get infrequent, single starts. It's fairly obvious that he prefers the higher workload and does better under those conditions.

Yeah but this isn't a cup contending team right now.
Chicago would be with Vokoun.
Without having any bias, do you think Vokoun has a better chance to win a cup here or in Chicago next year?

Well lets see its 2012 now and at the end of this playing year it will be 3 and 4 seasons ago since he won them but thats the same as 2 years ago I guess.

Second Grubauer stats were discussed to something irrelevant to the Messiah discussion but by all means lets grasp at everything I say and try to make it somehow relevant to what you are failing miserably at to understand.

If I'm not mistaken I think I saw something about Beezer as well. It took some time but it seems the fanbase has snapped.

And again I'm not saying he's the Messiah.
I'm saying people are overreacting to a young goalie having a bad 2nd year. It's not uncommon for that to happen with a Hockey player. Just look at JC.

Sure Carlson is hasnt been himself but the Messiah has been downright BRUTAL. 3rd worse in the NHL. Thats atrocious.

Just a question, do you watch the games? Sure he was awful in the beginning, but there were clearly a lot more factors going into that (as RH said, I think, in the panthers GDT thread)
Since Vokoun fully took over Neuvy has been fine in his 3 latest backup games.

If you call letting in a goal from near center ice FINE then there is no point in going any further

Thomas let in one against us... Is he a bad goalie now?
34 saves is not bad.

Because the messiah hasn't given up a ton of miserable goals this year.....just stop we all know you're somehow related to him but you're becoming far too irrational to even take serious anymore.

VogsCaps: #Caps swing a pair of minor deals: F Matt Ford to Philly for D Kevin Marshall and D Danny Richmond to Colorado for C Mike Carman.

Plan the ****ing parade.

HF profile for Carman notes FO proficiency. Marshall has played 10 games this year for Philly. Both pending RFAs.

Kevin Marshall is a pretty legit prospect. He played for Lewtown when I was working for the team. Tough as nails kid who may be a bottom pairing guy if we keep him.
