Kadri & Aulie To Marlies

reporterchris Chris Johnston
Nazem Kadri and Keith Aulie gone from the #leafs. Looks like they've been sent down to AHL.

it's but a done deal it seems.

Aulie I can see, but this is getting ridiculous for Naz. He deserves a roster spot.

I don't like it, but I accept. Numbers game. Just not enough icetime with guys like Lombardi, and Armstrong in the lineup.

Burke better make some room for this kid, he's been great.

Never thought he'd play in the AHL again, but I guess he is the one that can be sent down. Boyce might have been picked up, Crabb for sure.

Still a shame though, time to move some of these older bodies. Lombardi can go any time(he was BRUTAL last night), particularly now that we are sending down kids who don't deserve it.

You're crazy.

He totally deserves to be on the roster.

Hopefully there will be a move in the next few days to open up a spot for Kadri and ship out dead weight like Connolly, Lombardi and Macarthur.

Kadri should be up here, but it's clearly a numbers game. Nothing we can do about it.

Well, im hoping that he and frattin both got a nice talking to before they were returned to the marlies. It could easily be damaging for their confidence, but I get the feeling Burke has told them they wouldnt be down for long.

They dont deserve to be. Since Frattin has been down, every game ive watched he has almost always been the best player on the ice.

What has Lombardi done to keep his spot? He gets penalties and takes up roster space..

We need to shed some dead weight to let our young guys stay.

Kadri has been good.

Making 4 million dollars is what.

Sucks, but right now its a numbers game.

Kadri will have a spot by the trade deadline.

I hate that someone has to lose their spot so that waste of space Armstrong can be back in the lineup and contribute his brand of 4th liner hockey.

When he learns to play effectively in the NHL...

Ahh Kadri. I keep having high hopes. He's young... but then again, a lot of players from his draft have already cracked NHL lineups and are playing as effective NHLers:

Tavares, Hedman, Duchene, Kane, OEL, Cowen, Kulikov, Leddy, Runblad, Johanssen, O'Reilly, Clifford, etc.

Kadri = the lame duck. Burke makes mistakes with signing Connolly/Komi etc and Kadri has to be sent down.

He wasn't really getting any meaningful minutes to really show anything. He improved drastically in his own zone and he still gets sent down.

I hope he gets traded and lights it up, by this point he deserves it.

Not the way he's played recently he doesn't.

I'm fine with this. Aulie should have been sent down ages ago, and Kadri clearly still needs time in the AHL. Let him play with Colborne and Frattin.

Maybe just temp if they think he did enough.

If he's in the line-up for Marlies it is a done deal.

He was effective, this isn't a performance demotion. Geez.

He even blocked a huge shot last night. And that huge hit on Martin. He's been playing effectively and was the only person on the third line to play last night..
