I'm seeing way too much of it around here lately. We're all Blackhawks fans. We all love the team and want them to win the Cup. Sorry if some of us don't buy propaganda. We simply want change because I think we can all admit this team needs help in a number of areas (all over the ice and coaching). I don't think anyone is denying that so if you choose to accept the team as is, you're much more patient and optimistic than those of us who want to see action taken to improve the team. I think the in-fighting is ridiculous and I don't know what it is about the Hawks board but we probably fight with each other and question loyalty more than any other fan base.
I've never seen loyalty questioned. I do think that all of the "Fire Q", "We'll be lucky to make the playoffs", and "Trade Kane" posters are absolutely out of their mind though.
I found the Halak v Price arguments on Habs board to be some of the most angry I have seen on HF
+1. I was a lurker for years and read a lot of those. A lot of people wanted Halak to fail that year and he was really really good in both the regular season and the playoffs. You couldn't go wrong with either but I was always an advocate of them keeping Halak and trading Price with the thinking being Halak is more than proven in the POs and Price would have brought back twice the return.

Because us Islander fans never in-fight about anything. Ever. Not even once.
Things are pretty civil. Its not like our rebuttals are "Shut the **** up you stupid ****ing moron".
We have disagreements, thats fine. I'd prefer it that way instead of everyone holding Blackhawk hands together and sitting in a circle. I think that 99% of us have respect for eachother and we all know that at the end of the day we all want to see the Hawks win. We just have differing opinions on how to do that in the best way.
To put it more bluntly, one poster questions whether or not people are Hawk fans because he disagrees and does tell them to **** and insults them. Sometimes others join the mob. It's paranoid and baseless.
The level of discourse goes to hell quickly because certain posters take on a condescending and superior tone. Imo, anyone on either extreme is wrong with some truth to their argument.
Also, no political discussions outside of the anything goes thread.
Its just that if you look through the threads and the GDTs all you find is complaints and negativity...

its hard not to argue with some of these notions..there can only be 1 team in first place at any givin moment...all other teams should not trade there best players and fire there coaches because it isnt them.
