Give Leblanc and Palushaj the minutes to actually play in offensive roles. Also please put Palushaj in an offensive role for once.

Pacioretty Plekanec Cole
Bourque Plekanec Leblanc
Kostitsyn Eller Palushaj
Darche Gomez and whoever.
This could work, maybe with a few changes.
I assume you mean DD with Patches and Cole instead on cloning Plek though.

I don't really know where Randy wants to go with his line matching but if he does the logical thing and uses Plek as the main shutdown guy instead of Eller, AK should switch place with Leblanc since he's better at handling matchups, give the Eller line soft offensive minutes. If he's really stubborn and wants to keep throwing Eller against first lines comp, he should get Bourque and AK then (well ideally against first lines it should be Cole and Patches but it seems like he won't even think about breaking the DD line).

I hope Palushaj actually gets a chance this time, he won't ever be a first liner but I basically see his potential as ... well D'agostini I guess. Honestly, I think he's probably a better hockey player than Blunden , now and in the future. He just didn't get the same chance to showcase himself and he doesn't hit enough to have the fanbase fall in love with him.

Except Blunden was on a third line wich he really really shouldn't be anywhere near on on an NHL team. And Schultz isn't ready now (and possibly ever but that's not the purpose of the thread). Palushaj actually deserves the call-up, now it's about wether or not they use him right.

At least Conboy is good enough at the AHL level that he might be able to handle being a 4th line

A tough guy couldn't be more useless than guys like Darche, Weber, Gomez, etc... Have been
all season.

I'd rather lose with a tough guy who actually displays some emotion, than with the gutless wonders who do nothing and whine in the media.

Hopefully he at least gets a chance to play on a scoring line for once, would be nice to see him at least play well in the NHL to either increase his trade value or to play with the team full-time in the future.

Hello, my name is Ray Shero. You may recognize me better as the GM of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

I find your offer intriguing. Here is my counter-offer: how about we send you a Crosby game-worn jersey and you send us nothing is return.

I trust this deal better fills the needs of both teams.

Sincerely,
Ray Ray

This should be the lineups:

Pacioretty Desharnais Cole
Bourque Plekanec Palushaj
Kostitsyn Eller Leblanc
Darche Gomez Nokelainen

Gill Subban < I say we have these guys re-united and see if we can win a few.
Gorges Emelin
Kaberle Diaz

But we will get:

Pacioretty Desharnais Cole
Bourque Plekanec Gomez
Kostitsyn Eller Leblanc
Darche Engqvist Weber < I find its so gross having a dman play the 4th line.

Gorges Subban
Campoli Gill
Diaz Kaberle

Yep. Time to play the kids and play them in the spots they would play if they are to become NHLers.

Tough guys do all sorts of things for team toughness when spending 55 minutes a game on the bench?

There is a minimal level of hockey ability your tough guys need to have if their toughness is going to mean anything. That's the secret to Boston's 4th line. Guys like Thorton are sufficiently good hockey players that you can play them enough for their physical play to impact a game.

Blunden and White can aspire to that level in the NHL (even though I think Blunden is a ways away from it). I doubt Schultz is anywhere near that at this point.

Good job, play these kids the rest of the way and trade the veterans you don't want back. It's not like Hamilton is doing much better so might as well keep them here and see if there is any possible future for them in Montreal cause we know there isn't any future with some of the older forwards

Hey dawg, I heard Cam Ward has more goals than Gomez so we put Gomez in the Ward so he can not score while he scores. (what?)
