So he's down to, what, 1 fan who is like the captain of the Titanic. The guy is a sieve, he's mentally weak, and we're heading into the stretch run with a ton of games against division rivals. Thankfully Pittsburgh isn't gaining ground on us but if Crysbaby comes back and we play them in the first round, we're screwed. Even the Laffs are looking good right now. They have 2 solid goalies and neither of them cost $51 million.
1. His butterfly stance isn't really good. He seem more half way in between kneeling and being into a true butterfly. This cause a lot of deflecting puck to go in because he doesn't cover the bottom part of the net very well. With the butterfly style and his size, deflection on the ice should practically never go in, but we've seen a lot of those this year.
2. He seem to have no reflex/reaction. The first exemple of this that come to mind is the Pouliot deflection when the Flyers got hosed by the Bruins. The cross-ice pass bounce off Pouliot and made is way to the net, Bryz had plenty of time to react to that deflection and he seem to not even flinch as the puck pass by him.
3. Pokecheck every time the puck is near his net. With his butterfly style and size he shouldn't even try to pokecheck he should just cover the bottom part of the net as best as he can. How many time have we seen him try to pokcheck a puck, that was out of his reach, just to open up his 5-hole? Isn't Jeff Reese picking up on this?
Imo goals 2,3,4 were bad goals. I won't be swayed from that.
How are 3 and 4 bad? He got beat by shots from inside the faceoff dots. Lets call up Carle and Bourdon and toss them under the bus a little for some epic turnovers on these goals.

Look. Some of us have given up attacking him on deflections. We just know he wont save them, so, unlike how everyone else classifies their goalies, we dont even attack him on deflections anymore. We just expect them to go in. But now wristers from the dot are ok to let in? Like no one was screening him. It was him and the shooter.
“They play the same system, it's not a surprise to us,” Kimmo Timonen said. “They block a lot of shots, but everybody’s blocking a lot of shots. We can do a couple of things better, but when they break down, their goalie makes saves.”

Well Bryz made his comments about the D ...he needs to be called out as well. I dont think any of us are happy that against the contenders Bryz keeps looking like a pretender...
Thing is that Timonen's comment can be taken a bunch of ways..including acknowledging that King Henry is just elite level and we can't match it with peasant Bryz..
I will say that I doubt it was a dig against Bob as much...
One thing about Kimmo..he is plainspoken and doesnt hide his displeasure very often when asked...

BOB's been nothing short of solid for all but 3 or 4 games this year.
He sure has stolen way more games for us than Bryz has.
This. The Gaborik goal was unspeakably bad -- really just total incompetence and lazy technique (which has been a theme all season), especially with the goal stick. And it's not like Del Zotto fired a great shot for the third goal... it went through Bryz's ****ing five hole because of -- wait for it -- lazy technique. It's not like he was moving side to side. That NEEDS to be a save. The people who don't think the third goal was inexcusable on Bryz's part are delusional apologists. Yeah, it was a terrible turnover by Bourdon (a rookie, by the way) and his "all world" goalie couldn't bail him out -- on a routine save, no less. The goalie on the other end, who's actually all world, bails his teammates out all the time.
This isn't a Cup team this season, and I hope Homer doesn't make a stupid panic trade that cripples an otherwise bright future. Patience is a virtue with this roster... except when it comes to riding out the Bryzgalov contract. This **** cannot continue.

GOOD LORD.
goal 2 was bad. they got it back 1 minute later. tie game.
goals 3 and 4 were awful turnovers from the bottom of the circles .... yes, you'd like to make that save .. but just like Kovalchuk vs Bob yesterday, that's a VERY high % shot
