I know everyone hates Zids... and I do as well. But does anyone else think this might be the thing that finally makes it click for him? He's been embarrassed by being scratched, he's pissed off, now it's time for him to produce.

Here's hoping Zids takes about 15 shots tonight.

No matter your feelings about his play, I don't think he should be rewarded for his selfishness and complaining to the media. Let Lundin fill the space; he's been benched far longer and hasn't made a peep. (Not to mention that I don't think he's been bad enough to deserve a benching this long.)

I dont care what kind of production he has. He has no business playing for this team EVER again after badmouthing Yeo and basically declaring how selfish of a player he is.

I am literally SHOCKED that Yeo is letting him play this game.

Like I said earlier, they are probably showcasing him for an upcoming trade. You can't do that when he's not playing.

That makes sense to me.

Also, I'd be curious to see which scouts will be at the game.

I agree he doesn't deserve it... but regardless he's getting the opportunity. I choose to hope for the best outcome for the team. In this case the best outcome is Zids plays better.

Well if he can run up his trade value, he better make use of it, because if he just makes us flop tonight I want him gone.

I agree with the peeps saying Zids should play... We cant trade him very easy when peoples last impression of him is that he publicly complains about not playing but is on the bench because when he plays the team loses...

I can almost guarantee you Yeo said something along the lines of
"You shouldnt be playing because of the stunt you pulled BUT i'm giving you a chance to prove that you make our team better. Back up your words & show me why I made a mistake in scratching you"

If Im not mistaken, didnt Zids have a great game the first game back after being in Yeo's doghouse a while back? I remember Russo making comments about it...

I figure one of two things will happen...

1) He'll play amazing, we'll break the curse in Dallas & we'll all hope that he plays like a man possessed from here on out...

2) He'll suck, have a terrible game, we'll all laugh at him & we wont see him skate with us again because he'll be scratched again & most likely traded for scraps or late picks & we'll honor his memory be making fun of him for years to come..

Do you think Ott is going to fight Kassian? Just like McCleod he's going to "answer" by punching Powe repeatedly. Didn't that happen last time? Ott vs. Powe?

I'm already pretty well buzzed. Plan on being drunk by game time. Blackout, fall down drunk by the time it's over. So ya, I won't be enjoying this one with you guys.

I don't agree with the choice to play Staubitz instead of Kassian.

Kassian does everything Staubitz does better.

And Staubitz wont be able to keep Ott from ****ing with people. Doubt he manages to get him to fight him, and even if he does, Ot will just come back and be a total dick the whole game. With Kassian out there we could have the threat of a guided "If youre not gonna fight me I'm gonna put you through the glass" missile if he pulls his usual shenanigans.

Really questioning Yeo's sanity on these moves.
Staubitz won't. Neither would Kassian. Neither did Boogaard. Stop crying--it's what makes Ott an elite agitator. Staubitz might actually be able to get Ott off the ice for 5 minutes while Kazzian would have zero chance of it.

edit: wow, there are many of you. Have you watched Ott play? Read Russo's article. Yeo knows it.

Flipping between this, Michigan-Miami and UFC Prelims. It's pretty sad how little a game against Dallas pumps me up but between time and never winning in Norm Green's hellhole, it is how it is.

Though given how the Nashville game ended, I'm sure that happened.

Free Zidlicky worked? I'd like to thank...well no one participated so good job defensemen for working your way out of the lineup!

Drink when:

Voice Crack
Wild hit pipe
Zidlicky gaffe
No shot on an odd-man rush
