Seeing that RNH is with Horcoff and Hemsky I would assume that means that line will see more tough minutes so the Gagner line can once again get the gravy.

Interesting idea...I will be curious to see how that plays out against a very strong Detroit team.

The defence is a still a concern though especially if Peckham is playing in place of Petry.

Hopefully Jones can break his goal scoring drought tonight!

Of course, any line Horcoff is on faces the tough minutes every single game no matter what. (Brothers Grimm wrote that one I think.)

In the meantime we might be pissing away RNH"s shot at the Calder by saddling him with Horcoff, that's just swell.

The only thing to like about Nuge with Horc is that at least Nuge will play more minutes than usual.

who cares as long as we win. Would you rather break up the other line, which flourished the past game? Admittedly, I'd rather have Smyth there, but whatevs.

okay so did anyone else notice that even after missing 13 games RNH is still the top rookie scorer?
The calder is finally coming to oil country me thinks.

I was thinking henrique would have overtaken him by now, but he seems to have cooled off a bit.

Hopefully RNH comes back rested and plays just like at the beginning of the year. He seemed a bit fatigued before, so maybe this was a blessing in disguise.

I think his getting fatigued had a lot to do with him being double shifted through PPs. Didn't agree with it then, and I hope Renney doesn't go back to it the rest of the season.

The guy is probably an ok nhl'er, good for him. He can stay where he is and we're quite content with that.

If Hemsky can look good against the Wings maybe a lot of teams will take notice - everyone is thinking about what it will take to beat the Wings in the playoffs.

Putting him with the Nuge was a stroke of genius. Between Horc and RNH there should be enough defense on that line to pull him through without a huge minus.

Oilers who have a winning record at home.

Red Wings who have fourteen of their seventeen losses on the road.

Nuge.

Hall with points in 9 of his last 12.

Eberle hit the 50 point plateau.

I'm rolling with optimism tonight!

Our D situation is just so weird, because there's 7 guys who are playing good but not great. Sutton shouldn't really have been in that group but man has he been a delightful surprise. I like watching him lately.

Or " Nuge in the corner with the puck, Hemsky swoops by and waves his stick at the puck but misses, Nuge out front to Paajarvi, he misses the net and the puck goes back to Nuge in the corner, Hemsky with another ineffective sweep, Nuge to Horcoff, fans and then kicks the puck into the corner to Nuge, Hemsky takes another swipe at the puck as he circles by, I can't believe it didn't work this time, Nuge yawns, scratches his butt, walks out front and snipes top corner and says "Thank you Tambo". I wonder what that was for?"

That sounds pretty accurate unfortunately.

Real nice pick up. He is what he is, but we didn't have any what he brings to the roster. He surprises me on occasion with his puck skills. That said, he can get himself in trouble touching the puck too much.
