They better win this one in order to stay close in the PO race. If they lose such a big big game at home, I don't think they're going to make the playoffs. I'd be surprised if Kari doesn't start this one.

3 more against the Wild with a game in hand. Must win all 3 if they have any chance really. Kari should be starting for the fact that we have to beat the teams around us.

Thanks for quoting that too. Should be 26 not 29 overall wins vs Minny.

Minnesota's lineup is so bad. So very bad. No excuse for losing. If they do, it better go a long way toward making up Nieuwendyk's mind to sell.

4 point game tonight, and pretty much a must win. As Lobo said, we have to win at least 2 of the 3 games remaining against the Wild, and then most of the games against the Flames to have a chance to make it. We have such a horrible schedule during the last games of the year, we have to make our points here against the teams we'll be competing with.

Nystrom on the 2nd line tonight instead of Vincour. Also going back to 6 D, Fistric and Pardy out, Dowell in. I really don't agree, why separate Fiddler and Nystrom who do so well together?

Really don't get how they can justify why Grossman should be in over Fistric at this point.

If anything, with every game he's playing..he's hurting his chances of getting traded.

I think its that too. He'll have 0 trade value is he becomes a healthy scratch the next 3 weeks leading up to the trade deadline.

You couldn't ask for a more stark dichotomy between Grossman and Fistric's play these last few games. At this point it's clear that on-ice performance is not the deciding factor with regards to who plays. There are 3 possibilities that I see: Our coaching staff and front office is incapable of player evaluation, there are some serious behind-the-scenes/locker-room politics at play, or they're simply putting on a brave face and trying to keep his value as high as possible before they trade him. I will choose to believe the latter as the other options are disturbing.

Nystrom-Ribeiro-Ryder doesn't really make sense either. That's a defensive liability, no way around it.

If anyone finds a stream of the R+R feed tonight, please post it. TX21 means I'm stuck with the Wild feed, and I want to see some of the Eddie ceremony.

Well 3 of our top 6 forwards are out injured (Koivu, Bouchard, and Latandresse) so yeah our line-up looks pretty bad. Our defense really is horrible though and that's without any significant injuries.
