The Canucks, and I don't just say that because they are the Wolves affiliate. I admired the old Manitoba Moose set up. They got and played vets and also had a nice mix of mid- and high level prospects playing along side.

I'll give you Vancouver since they let the Moose and now Wolves have some control over the roster. I suppose you can add Washington to that list as well. However, those are definitely the exception to the AHL development over winning rule.

Very true, when you take success of both the NHL and AHL into consideration. The Red Wings are closer now then they were before as well. Nashville though has always been top notch on both. A lot of others have been so as well but less consistently (Pens, San Jose, Boston).

I think there are some you can definitely rule out:

New Jersey (horrible AHL)
Islanders (both)
Florida (both)
Phoenix (both)
