This year is the opposite, everything that could go wrong has went wrong. But the two biggest problems are the power play being the worst thing possible, and terrible coaching.
You forgot a couple of things. Markov and Kaberle and their huge **** contracts!

How did sacking the coach in the middle of the season go again? Enough panic moves, this season over.

The best options for both GM and coach won't take the job until the season is actually anyway. The last move PG's made hurting us going forward was the Kaberle trade. Well sacking Martin killed the season, but the tankwagon should love him for that.

If Markov is done the contract is irrelevant, if anything hurt us it was relying on him this season and having our only real vets be Gill and Spacek.

The Kaberle trade was inexcusable, but back then it looked like the PP could be saved.

Except from the DD line, Eller is our best player and it's not even close.

Gomez:I want you to succeed, but I think this past season has poisoned our relationship. I hope you have success on your next team.

Plekanec: Ok pleks If you are hurt, take a couple weeks off. You clearly are not the same player you were for the past 3-4 seasons. Go play with your new baby, have fun.

Andrei: C'mon buddy, you're split from your best bud Eller... but move your feet.

Kaberle: Booooooooooooo

Diaz+Emelin: Both of you have improved SOOO much since the start of the year.

It's certainly exciting thinking of the possibility of teams over-paying for our UFA's like Gill, Moen and Campoli.

This upcoming draft could be incredible for us draft junkies.

Imagine having a top 5 pick and two or three 2nd rounders..Or hey, even two 1st rounders

Didn't we lose a game this year where Carey wiped at the puck and missed and it was the game winning goal?

Is this our luck this year or what, losing the game on a fluke goal?

How many of these have we had this year????

Plekanec is playing hard today, but dumb. Less little girl, more little mentally slow person.

They showed a little clip of Emelin's work in the game so far, and I've noticed this all year, he definitely has good instincts for outlet passes. I was surprised when looking over stats yesterday to realize that he still only has 2 points this season. Seems to be another guy like Eller where the obvious talent on the ice hasn't really shown up on the scoreboard this year. Let's just hope that this is all part of the general suckitude of this season and that he'll start being involved in scoring plays a little more in the future.

If we could somehow get a late first rounder or early second...

I'd love a shot at drafting Hertl...

I've met him too. I agree he is a nice guy but "liking" hockey doesn't mean you are a smart hockey guy. See; Don Cherry.

I expect a bit more from someone named Analyzer. The matchups are completely different from what he was playing against last year. If people want to say he's not as good on the PP or whatever, that's one thing. Saying he's been globally bad this year is retarded.

Well, Ottawa and Chicago are both in the bottom half of the league in terms of PK. Probably unlikely, but it would be nice to be able to get one of Ottawa's young prospects in a trade rather than getting a draft pick that we'll have to wait even longer for.
