i guess it's good that he's skating...but Walks doesn't have a reputation for being the most durable guy. With our luck, he's going to incur some major injury playing up there, and then the NHL season will actually start and we'll be without him

According to a media release on the hornets website walker played his first game last night. I've had no luck find the results, though.

Primary assists on both the game tying (22 seconds left) and game winner (in OT). Now that is clutch

my friend michelle used to live in nashville..and is actually from Scott's hometown...and actually worked as a nanny for his kids. she recently moved back to cambridge, and she saw his game last night. she said that it looked very informal, very 'for fun' and everyone was laughing\joking as the game went on, so i guess that makes me feel better.

well, as long as he's keeping in shape and skating it's cool by me!

get a load of this one from a messageboard I went to and asked about scott walker's play last night:

"Scott Walker played defence last night and showed a lot of good touches, and his speed is amazing. Todd Harvey played centre and he also looked great, with these 2 guys in the line up the Hornets are a lot faster and a lot more skillful than before."

wow walker back to his roots.

This article answers a few questions:

http://www.cambridgehornets.org/Kitc...Oct23,2004.htm

of particular interest:

"This is exciting. But I hope the people realize that this isn't the NHL. I'll work hard but I want to be safe."

"I don't want to put myself into situations where I'm not going all out. You can get injured when you're not going 100 per cent. But at the same time, I don't want to be putting guys through the boards."
