Emelin is becoming an intouchable to me, the kid has improved hugely this season and is becoming a very solid top 4 defenseman.. I just love how he plays the game..

Our pro scouting is the league's worst. Sadly people will try to blame Timmins but his drafting had this team competing between 2003-11 and then ****** GMs and pro scouting ruined it. Without Timmins, we'd be where Edmonton is: relying on top 3 draft picks year after year. I'm starting to wish Gainey had stepped away sooner. Gauthier is even worse in his trading but at least this year he started to realize we need dirtier goal scoring, a bigger team. If we can infuse scoring talent like Yakupov onto a team like ours, look out. Sure we lack any gamebreaking forwards but IMO what really needs work is the D. That thing's in shambles and Price is going to have to be Grant Fuhr circa 1988 to withstand the onslaught of scoring chances he'll face.
Do you honestly trust the people in charge to get us a great draft pick? I could easily see them bypassing all of the hyped top 5 guys and going for some player in the US that nobody is talking about.

this team needs much more than a top pick...it needs to remodel the team...get rid of the passengers, find a gritty 4th line, and if not a big scoring center than at least a big gritty center
