Sens took a number of unnecessary penalties, the leafs made them pay, and that was the difference.
These teams are very close, and special teams are enough to decide a game in this way.
Close give me a freaking break. This is what Ottawa is when Anderson doesn't stand on his head against us

This its pretty pathetic really. Damn $ 27352836372 tickets

Anyway great wins. It always feels good to trump the sens

Not only that, they just needed some momentum to get back on track. The relief and joy that washed over Kessel after he scored was obvious. He has been playing this speedy and dangerous for a while but nothing seemed to be working lately.

Bozak continues to amaze me. dude has skills.

I will admit I'm eating crow in regards to him, he's played better recently and is a good PK player. Still not worth what he's getting paid though and easily replaceable, I hope he gets shipped out this summer to a team lacking offense so he can find his game again.

They STILL got out shot despite winning 5-0. I suppose it's natural to get excited about a 5-0 win but I wouldn't be planning for no parade.

The Sens had two stinkers in a row. The Leafs were good, sure, but how many times does a team win with a shutout like that but still get out shot and give up so many shots?

I would recommend caution but hey, party it up.

That has been pretty much my arguement every time I run into one. Some people believe (I will not name them) that it is some kind of a slap in the face to Gus that Reimer got to start this game despite his shut out in Pittsburgh the other night. I am a go with the hot hand kind of guy myself and love that both are doing well. If Reimer is the hot hand, I want him playing...if the Monster is playing better go with him.

It feels so good to have Bobby calling the games, really reminds me of the Muskoka Five era in it's good times. Gary Roberts and Tucker just kept popping into my mind every time Cole's inflection rose

arent the next two games Edmonton then Winnipeg back to back? So Gus against the Oilers then Reimer against Jets? we could go on a 4 game shutout streak

Yeah lots of shots for Ottawa but the Leafs D kept them to the outside practically the whole night, and Reimer was gobbling up the rebounds today.

Leafs have been shutout before while firing even more than 49 shots(not many were really dangerous tonight). I'm pretty sure Roloson has done it a couple of times and I think Price and Miller as well.

He's going to be something special when he gains confidence with his offensive capabilities. Right now I don't think even he himself knows how good he could be. It's going to be fun watching this guy in the Blue & White for years to come.

Really pisses me off. Like 'I could care less' and 'you're bias' and various other semi literate phrases that show up way too often.

To me, nothing, and I mean nothing, feels better as a Leaf fan than beating the Sens. I hate that the Bruins beat us constantly, hate the Habs, but this BoO is so strong it feels so good to see games like tonight

I'd go Reimer against Edmonton who seem to be getting hot offensively, and Gus agains Winnipeg, who I believe shut them out last time.

Sam Gagner is hot for the Oilers right now. Will need to shut him down on Monday to keep the streak going.
