Just out of curiosity, as I have always wondered this:

When the Sabres are on the road, any idea where they fly into and how close they stay to certain arenas? I don't necessarily expect many to know, but any info would be interesting.

I ask this because those logistics can change so dramaitcally given the days opponent.

When they play the Rangers, for example, do they actually fly into JFK or some smaller airport in Jersey or on Long Island? Do they stay right in the city, or in a less chaotic place to get some quality sleep?

I also always wonder if opposing teams fans ever mess with these guys sleep whenever there's a big game the next day. Can't you see a big Flyers fan *mistakenly* ringing Tim Thomas's room at 4 A.M. when they play Boston at 2 the next afternoon?

I believe that in each city, there is a hotel close to the arena that every visiting team stays at for the sake of convenience. For example, when teams come here they always stay at the Adam's Mark because it's so close to the arena, even though it's arguably not the nicest of the downtown hotels.

Teams haven't stayed at that hotel for awhile. It was the Hyatt in recent years and now it's the Embassy Suites in the Avant Building downtown on Delaware.
