This is going to be a tough one. Both teams are flying pretty high coming into tonights game, but we have to take home advantage. These are the type of games that we have to pull together a win.

Let's go Leafs!

Its a big game, we can seperate ourselves from Washington a bit with a 4 point difference, also we pass Ottawa with two games in hand still, and we would only be 1 pt back of NJ for 6th. We can really start to solidify a playoff spot with a win tonight.

At the very least it should be a fun game. I much prefer playing other run-and-gun teams than snoozefests like the Rangers.

I expect alot of high end skill on display tonight.

I'm just hoping there isn't a let down, this has trap game written all over it. The Leafs came out gangbusters on Saturday, we have to start like that tonight and take it to Edmonton's D.

I think it's about time Phaneuf catches someone with a big hit. Edmonton has some gutsy young forwards in Hall (especially him) and RNH (Eberle not so much, he seems a bit more aware to me) and a wanderer in Hemsky.

This is a team we should beat

Obviously Gagner is hot so we might want to keep an eye on him.

Reimer has to continue his stellar play and well probably get the W

Of note, this is the first game all season the Oilers are icing their starting defense so they are far from the atrocious defense that they have been icing all year. Having said that, it is still far from a phenomenal d-corps, so take that for what it's worth.

RNH is more aware than Ebs. He has only been caught once this season, in the preseason.

Couple of OT questions regarding NHL playoffs coverage:

1. Are all TSN playoff games on TSN, or do some series feature on TSN2 as well?
2. Leafs split their regular season games on 4 different networks. Does it work the same for first round of the playoffs or does either of TSN or CBC carry the entire series? Does SNET carry playoff games? (I asked this question, because I remember last year, when Boston still had their playoff games on their local network, NESN)

Thanks.

PS: Stick to the question rather than talking about if leafs will or will not make the playoffs?

Late to the thread, how many people have said "this is a must win" already?

pretty sure CBC carries every Leaf playoff game from here to eternity and always have.

It's either CBC/TSN. IF we make it, CBC is pretty much a shoe-in for the Leafs.

some games are on TSN and some on TSN 2, and no sportsnet does not carry any playoff games... and i can guarantee you CBC will broadcast all 16 leaf playoff games.
