He's a natural at both imo. He's got the puck carrying skills and playmaking needed to play center, and he's got the forechecking and drive to the net needed to play at wing.

His style reminds me a lot of a young Jere Lehtinen. Anyone else agree on this?

He had an extremely good first half of today's semi against Russia. I'm very excited for this kid's future.

No, Lindholm is puck control type of player who creates plays with his great vision, speed and throws body at times. His style of play reminds me from Claude Giroux.

He also led the team in hits today with 0.5. ;-)

But really, though, he's got a gritty side to him. Comparisons are always gonna be misleading when you mention the likes of Giroux and Forsberg, but in terms of being a smart, skilled do-it-all player with a bit of an edge at times, it's accurate.

I think he'll be a C long-term but have looked very good at W as well.

Nice assist by Elias today at 2:30. He also logged 21 minutes of ice time.

I've got a question about his play in the SEL.

Is his front of the net play representative of the way he plays, or was he playing a role he was put into by the national team?

He's used the same way on his club team, but I would like to see him make plays instead.

What do people see as his realistic upside? Two way 60-70 point center?

I think he has to potential to be a ~80 point player.

would you think he'd be challenging for first overall in any other draft?

And do think hes skilled enough to have the franchise player tag?

Franchise player if in in the sense of top2-3 player on the team, then yes.

I think he would've challenged for first overall last year.

ahh with karlsson out it seems likely Ottawa will pick up one of these elite caliber players.

Lindholm would be a perfect fit with our swedish invasion,

may create a logjam at c

Spezza
Turris
Smith
Zibanejad
Da Costa
Lindholm
Obrian
Regin

:l

With O'Brien, Zibanejad, Regin and Smith very capable of playing at the wing (as well as Lindholm himself, mind you) I don't think that would be something that would be considered an obstacle.

And who knows what it looks like in 5 years when this year's draft class will have established themselves?

Still

Dacosta, Smith and Even Lindholm from what i have seen are much much more effective at center.

And Turris and Spezza are locks as centers.

Turris was very effective as a winger in the playoffs for Phoenix when he 'broke out' and we've seen chemistry between Spezza and Turris before. I have no problems with him moving to the wing if we got a talented player like Lindholm. Even still, Da Costa is a guy that will be breathing down Turris' neck, too.

We have a very talented young core moving forward and any top 6 forward (potentially) we can grab will only enhance our chances of success...though personally Drouin would be my target.

First multi-point game for Lindholm yesterday in quite a while. Now sits at 9+18 in 41 games and surpassed Backstrom's draft totals with that.

Pretty plays. I can't see a way he doesn't go top-5, but if he does I'm doing anything in my power to trade up.

Two really nice goals, he went to the dressing room right after the second goal though. Let's hope it's nothing serious.

Still think he should go 3rd ahead of Barkov and Drouin.

An interesting stat is that Lindholm is the only plus player on the team at +1. The only other who's not a minus player is Caps prospect Christian Djoos with an even rating. The team is -42.

He definitely does not. He needs to be down hyped now so that the Canucks can take him in the early 20's/late teens.

I just want him to center Nicklas Jensen and Zack Kassian.. stupid playoff Canucks team
