I can't stand the Richards bashing. He hasn't been as bad as everyone makes it seem. So what the guy is going through a slump. You all make it sound like he is the next Wade Redden. He played a good defensive game today and I thought he made a few great passes on the PP. He is getting better each game and I'm sure he'll be back to his point per game pace eventually.. Give it time. He came out his first 20 games and played like a mad man but people seem to forget about that. They also ignore the fact that he has been a great mentor for the young guys and been a great leader on the ice.
I've given a lot of grief to Anisimov recently, but he was much better today. Still play too much of the game in our end. Basically, this game came down to we have Lundquist, and they don't. Plus, they have no answer for Girardi, McD, MDZ, etc.
Was at the game - there were a lot of flygirls fans - obnoxious as always so it was fun to have them shut up. Very happy for Artem's breakthrough game. Richards had a very decent game especially defensively when faced against Phillies top line.

Yeah there was a group of them who would yell "sucks!" after each player on the starting lineup was announced. Although I think they has trouble doing that when Hank was announced.
Bickel is such a warrior, but I really don't see the point in having a fighting defenseman. If one of your other D gets thrown out of the game, and then one of your other D gets a penalty while the fighter is in the box, you're suddenly down to 3 D.

Me too. Flyers fan seated directly in front of me who was a little overly-emphatic when they scored. My buddy and I made a point to scream extra loud while celebrating the Rangers goals....
Yeah, IMO a Dman only needs to fight to stick up for the goalie or his partner, let the forwards do the crappy staged fights. Mcilrath will hopefully be able to play better D than Bickel also.

I also thought he played pretty well today. I tried just following him and him alone whenever he was on the ice. When I remembered to do it.
