Ya, you can't really count any accomplishments achieved on other teams in a list of "Best Players for Team X". Makes for some interesting rankings.
Reen saw this kid's list. His #28 was not drafted in the top 900 in the 2011 ATD and he has him ranked ahead of Steve Shutt, Jacques Laperrière, Tom Johnson, Sprague Cleghorn, Frank Mahovlich, Jean-Claude Tremblay, Claude Provost, Chris Chelios, Joe Malone, Bert Olmstead, Ken Reardon, Herb Gardiner, and Albert "Babe" Siebert. If you know a player outside the top 900 who had a better career in Montreal than all of those guys, please pm me his name so I can draft him in round 25.
Why have European more things to forget than North American again?
Well, apart from Canada being next to the US which I guess is something you like to forget I suggest you read up on european history... Lots of stuff we want to forget...
damn , I've been shaving my head for like 8 years , then tried to grow my hair back to see what they look like for 2 months , I liked it quite a bit but still decided to shave them back and I don't recognize myself at all even though I've been exactly like that for years
goes to show you how we get used to things quickly.
"You don't see that everyday," said the TSN play-by-play announcer when Hartnell scored the opening goal of the Flyers 4-3 win over the Leafs last night and then IMMEDIATELY AFTER SCORING STARTED A FIGHT with Phaneuf who had pushed him falling over the net seconds before the goal, Scott getting up and coming back into the play rather than retaliating, though once he buried the puck that came his way he went for retribution, dropping his stick and nodding to Phaneuf as if to say "Wanna go?" and so they did. Phaneuf got the worst of it, then he failed to clear the puck on the Flyers' second goal as Meszaros easily scooped it at the point and put it on net. Hartnell's linemate Giroux also had a Gordie Howe hat trick last night. A dang fine day to be a Philly fan!

Hartnell is one of those guys who would look good in a Leaf jersey. I've always liked him, and I've always thought he was a guy the Leafs should be targetting.
Lol jarek I don't mean to downgrade you because you know a lot about hockey's history, but Lupul and Kessel with 100 point seasons (should we even say Kessel's name with LL around? He could constitute a possible pick)? Please. I'm not sure Kessel is capable of 100 with Crosby.
...That's not that crazy. They're on pace for around 90 point seasons at this point. With a quality centre they get good chemistry with? It's far from impossible.

I wasn't a fan of the Kessel trade thankfullyhe has sstarted to grow as a player and imo he and lupul need another. Half dozen seasons like this one to get drafted in the atd
a center is more important , I also won't use phil kessel and joffrey lupul to try to lose or win an argument in an ATD.
Why not? They are both having excellent seasons, and are a testament to what a "duo" can do. I'm trying to HELP you here.. >_>

Why? They are both having excellent seasons, and both are on pace for 90 points, as LF13 pointed out, with a far from ideal center. To say that Kessel playing with Crosby could not achieve 100 points is a load of horse ****. He got 60 points with no help last year, he's potted 30 goals 4 years in a row, and this year he's developed some very nice playmaking skills. He's destroyed this perception of him as being a one dimensional goal scorer. Crosby could absolutely take Kessel to 100 points, and this year, if he had a better center (a certain center from Anaheim comes to mind), he could have achieved 100 points without too many problems.
You really ought to put your perceptions of a player aside and focus on what he's accomplished and what he's doing if you want to make a valid opinion about him. Kessel has been EXCELLENT this season, and he's showing off the offensive skills that had him touted as a top-3 pick during his draft year. Just because he's a Leaf, doesn't mean that he isn't destined for greatness.
Also, about Lupul: people seem to forget that he was a 7th overall pick in the past. He's developed slowly and injuries have taken a toll on that as well, but to laugh at the idea that he's capable of 100 points is irresponsible if you ask me, in the face of what he's accomplished this year. I think this year he's showing the offensive skills that made him a 7th overall pick. I'm not saying that he and Kessel can repeat these career years, as there is no evidence to support that yet, but they are both more than capable of being perennial top-10 scorers based on watching them play. A better center and then, the sky's the limit.
EDIT: Anyways, you're right, this conversation doesn't belong here anyways. This is the last I'll say on the matter.
