Kovalchuk's speed and puck skills make him very dangerous on the PK. It makes the opponent think twice about making risky plays along the blue line.

Delete it quick before it goes to BM67's head. Pelletier asks if Kovalchuckle is the best Russian NHL or international player ever!?! Do the Hawks have a chance against Smith's superior goaltending? I don't know.

It's felt like the East has been catching up to the West the last couple years, this year their records against each other are extremely close...

West: 136-93-41
East: 134-99-37

Some of the old school like Cherry and Milbury are Crosby haters, because they think he's treated differently. The best player has always been treated differently and Sid doesn't have an old school enforcer on his line to be his bodyguard like Gretzky did with Semenko. They're touting Stamkos as the best player as a replacement. I like them both, but I think Malkin & Datsyuk are good also.

If anyone is enough of a baseball fan to know who Yu Darvish is, I cannot stress enough how absolutely hilarious this video is. Thank god for MLBTV that I saw this live.

something tells me, Pens over Wings.... again.

I don't know what it is about Detroit, they are so.... stately. I just look at the lower budget, or younger teams they find themselves up against and I say to myself, "they're just not going to lose to them".

Against LA? Sure. I still wouldn't pick them against Chicago or Detroit, but against the rest of the West?

Yeah, I just don't see how LA can win the series. It would be a real shocker.

LA actually had a virtually identical record to Vancouver against playoff teams this year (ignoring OT and SO results.)

Maybe, but even if he brings the fire, Vancouver has two goalies capable of being every bit as good.
