I think this is time for Pittsburgh to repeat.I don't see anyone taking them out for the moment with Malkin playing like he is and Crosby in the line-up.

I don't really care about who wins anyway , but I would like Malkin to have a monster playoff and another conn smythe.I always liked him as a player even before his NHL days so I cheer for him to succeed and to become the player of his generation instead of Crosby and Ovechkin.

I also like Crosby but to a lesser extent , Malkin simply has everything I like about a hockey player.

Ovechkin is by far my least favorite , his hockey IQ leaves me very indifferant.

Pittsburgh has been ****in' spoiled with Mario-Jagr and now Crosby-Malkin. They also have a great football team. Don't really want to see them win, but it would be justice because they are the most talented team in the league (even though their depth is overrated...most of those other guys suck).

Does Weber get anything for the head-shot at the end of the game on Zetterberg?

If it's in the regular season, then absolutely. In the playoffs, I'm really not sure.

I think he gets a game. It's the type of play the NHL can't let go if they are serious about head shots.

Wifi Zetterberg is injured (and it doesn't look like he is), I think it gets a couple games

You tried to pass him off as a first line right wing in the ATD. He has never had success at right wing. All of his relevant offensive seasons in both the regular season and playoffs have come with him at center. The Flyers tried him at right wing to minimize his lack of defensive ability, but he was far less productive.

He's not that awesome from an ATD perspective though.

If I recall correctly , he was also on your first line , which was a problem , but I liked your second line.

IIRC it was something like Shutt-Morenz-Briere / LeClair-Lindros-Wharram , but my memory might be wrong and I don't feel like finding the ATD2011 thread.

Michael Cammalleri has great playoff numbers too. Is he a first liner now too?

lol. Cammalleri has played 32 career playoff games. Briere now has 98 points in 98 games, including leading the toruny in 2010 with 30 in 23. I never tried to say Briere was a legit 1st liner, but he was and is a crafty player who would have kept up with Morenz on my 1st line.

Whatever...water under the bridge now.

I am the biggest Cammalleri hater on hfboards.

And I mean , literally , I am.

Even during his good moments in Montreal I created 3 or 4 threads (all lasted many pages) about him on the Montreal board as ReenMachine writing paragraphs after paragraphs on how Cammalleri is a complete negative on a hockey club.Needless to say in the first two years of Cammalleri in Montreal people insulted me and basically laughed at me until they all agreed at the end of his reign. They're just a bunch of bipolar idiots anyway.I was right all along.

A lot of fans will fall under the spell of their GM and drink the koolaid untll they see the failure for themselves. It's happening in Toronto right now.

wow Wings sucked against Preds in game 1. They really need to step it up. It was painful to watch such a lackluster effort.

I am happy for the Flyers, screw the Penguins.

EASTERN CONFERENCE

1. New York Rangers vs. No. 8 Ottawa Senators in 5

2. Boston Bruins vs. 7. Washington Capitals in 7

3. Florida Panthers vs. 6. New Jersey Devils in 5

4. Pittsburgh Penguins vs. 5. Philadelphia Flyers in 7

WESTERN CONFERENCE

1. Vancouver Canucks vs. 8. Los Angeles Kings in 7..

2. St. Louis Blues vs. 7. San Jose Sharks in 6

3. Phoenix Coyotes vs. 6. Chicago Blackhawks in 6

4. Nashville Predators vs. 5. Detroit Red Wings in 6

Honestly, Vancouver has looked terrible for the past few weeks, even with the winning streak. If the Canucks are going to go anywhere, they need Kesler to be at the top of his game, and the past little while the guy has been awful. Henrik was good last night, but I don't see him doing too too much without Daniel who seems to be out a while (no practice again today). Vancouver is a much better team than LA IMO, but I could see them simply having a bad stretch of games and LA have a good stretch. After that, I think this is how it'll go..

NYR over Philly in 5
NJ over Boston in 7

NYR over NJ in 5

STL over LA in 6
NSH over CHI in 5

NSH over STL in 7

NSH over NYR in 6

Seriously. I'd make sooo much money if I somehow turned out to be right.

Man, I really hope David Krejci is ok. I want to laugh at that without feeling like a jerk

Funniest thing in the NHL this season.
