take note everyone!
I knew you were 30 , that's why I asked if they were any Gm ''just a little bit older than you''

A lot of guys are around 25-30 , and probably some younger guys but I'm not sure.

and yes , being 28 is great arrbez

**** was so tight they wrote a book about it.

Although I guess you other 28 year olds were probably born in the slightly less awesome 1983.

I feel so young..started the ATD when I was 16 and am now 20, lol.

I do agree though that those who saw players play in the 1970s and 1980s tend to value them more than those currently in the NHL. I see that with my dad a lot. Perhaps though, in a lot of ways, the argument is fair.

Reading this thread, I feel a little old. I'll be 30 in September. That's why I have a penchant for guys who played in the 80's. They're the first guys I watched playing hockey.

Mind boggling that people born in early 1990s are in their 20s. To me 1990 still equals a friggin' baby.

countless players whose rookie seasons I can remember like they were yesterday, are now since retired. no one remains from that magical 1987-88 season that made me the hockey nerd I am today. I can count the active players who were even drafted in the 1980s on one hand.

Yes, gentlemen, we are all getting older. I figure we are getting about one year older per year, on average.

Only Jagr, Lidstrom, and Selanne remain as stars who played during my childhood. It's sad.

I guess Recchi was the end of the line for guys who played in the 1980's.

Doesn't seem that long ago that Messier was still repping the 1970's.

Even though we all know we're getting older , it still feels weird to put it in perspective.

yep. and I remember ticking off in my head the guys with connections to the 1970s, as they started falling off en masse 17 years ago.

the next step is probably players with connections to the 90s, and then, I'll be counting down the players older than me. It won't be long, probably a dozen years, before I'll be older than every player in the NHL

...and it wasn't too long ago I pointed out to my dad that the last player in the NHL older than him had retired following the 1998-99 season.

Heh, same here.

Seems like most GM's here tend to fall into more or less the same age window (27-31).

I'm 18

25+? Pfft. Old geezers.
