The Sanchez/Ellenberger fight is fun, and i'm interested in Stipe Miocic's fight. He looked good against Beltran.

The Dillashaw - Watson fight should be interesting.

Aside from a couple of fights, this isnt even an acceptable MFC card.

Will probably only watch this for the Struve, Dillashaw, and Sanchez fights. And even then, I'm really only super interested in Struve because the guy intrigues me so much.

I know this is a free card, but damn, UFC needs to lay off the events a bit. They practically have one every weekend now.

Keep it to 1 ppv a month, with 1 or 2 additional free cards

I've never seen any of the guys in the last 3 fights fight before so just fightfinder picks there. I'm glad to see this card is mid-week. Wish they would go back to that more often as with every card being on the weekend you're bound to run into conflicts from time to time.

No kidding, and as expected, Montreal is the one that payed for it!

Can't believe though that ultimate fighter winner Brookins (even after a lackluster performance) is competing on the prelims of a free tv card. Weird.

The schedule doesn't look too crazy in the next few months, so it will be slowing down a bit.

But yeah, I've never seen any of the bottom six guys fight before and haven't even heard of most of them.

they usually do cut the events down from May-August, but from Sept-April there's just way too much

I also find it a bit suprising that Ivan Menjivar is on the prelim portion of a free/weal card, he's won two in a row and has looked pretty solid.

I agree that some of the cards have been weaker than others, but what are they supposed to do? They have fighters that want fights, and cities that want events. If it's a card people don't like, it's extremely easy for people to just not watch it. The main card isn't even that bad, I just hate watching Aaron Simpson fight.

Tell me about it, I went to 3 UFC's live last year and he was on 2 of them.

I don't get why Dillashaw/Watson is on the main card over Brookins especially. But, whatever, all the fights are on TV I think so what do I care on the order.

I don't really get that either, but Brookins really needs to show something in this fight. He almost lost to MJ in the TUF finale, and his gameplan was atrocious in the Koch fight. If you're going to try and have a boring grinding fight, you'd damn well better win.

I still have no idea why they gave him that fight, it was tailor made for him to lose. Usually they protect their TUFers, Brookins wasn't so lucky & I'm really not sure why.

It was a poorly made fight for sure. Either the UFC thought Brookins was better than he was, or they really under-rated Koch.

Even still, at least he won TUF which is one more thing than Dillashaw has done in the UFC. I'm sure much of it is politics, and maybe they're hooking Urijah Faber's buddy up since Faber's doing TUF.

Yeah, it might have just been bad timing for him. He dropped out of two fights because of injury, and by the time he finally fought Koch it was almost a year after he won the TUF finale. It was also his first fight back at FW, so it's entirely possible that they overrated him going into it.

It was very strange from the get go, if my memory serves me correctly, he was even supposed to fight Jeremy Stephens at 155 at one point. The guy had one glaring weakness in his game, striking, why in the hell would you put him against guys with such crisp striking?

The strangest part of it for me is that Brookins is such a likeable & marketable fighter, he should be crushing cans for at least a year, IMO. He was a more gifted Amir in that regard.
