Horcoff playing with RNH makes me sad.

Hopefully we can take leaf fans down a peg or two tonight, they need it.

Honestly before the start of the year and before injuries the plan wasn't to play Sutton 82 games. The talk was he'd be more effective with less games. Him being a HS isn't exactly a shock.

I don't mind. I like the fact Renney is going with the guy who keeps winning.

Shawn Horcoff - Ryan Nugent-Hopkins - Ales Hemsky

Man, I'd rather see Eager in Horcoff's spot on this line. With his wheels and the way he can drive to the net, imagine the room he'd create for RNH and Hemsky.

Also, to sit Sutton instead of Petry, especially when you may consider trading him or resigning (not a good message to the player), is just a bad move all the way around.

Yes every NHL coach has had an unexplainable preference for Horcoff.

I just cant understand it, all these knowledgable fans agree someone from the AHL would make better use of his minutes.

That would be really cool. Eager has also stated that he thinks he can contribute in the top 6 - letting him play with RNH and Hemsky for a reasonable period of time would put that to rest. If he cannot produce with RNH and Hemsky, then he's probably not going to be a top 6 player in Edmonton.

Not sure that it's confirmed, but Stauffer is indicating that Smyth may be playing with 93 and 83 tonight, with Horcoff going down to the 3rd line.

Just so those who have their girdles in a knot over unconfirmed lineups can loosen them a notch or two.......

Hopefully, you are not Eager, as this is exactly Eagers problem, he doesnt know his job.

I thought Smyth had his best game in quite some time against Detroit, so I'm glad if he gets moved up. Lets face it, regardless of who is playing wing on that third line, it's not going to score.

Horcoff is an AHL'er. Doesn't even belong in the league. The Oiler's will never win a cup with him around, because this one forward causes so many of their losses. Disregard the fact that he plays 20 minutes a night in the greatest league in the world, he is a bum and can't play hockey. And lazy, oh so lazy.

Replace him with Lander, or Eager, or AM. Anyone with a pulse really.

Agree with you on this point. They also could dress 7 defencemen and use that Dman in front of the net on the PP. Sutton farting in Reimers face would be saweeet.

This is the type of game the Oilers should win...so I'm predicting 5-2 loss.

??? Anyone checked the temperature in hell recently?

Either way until I see it with my own eyes, I will assume Teflon Shawn stays in the top 6. At this point, I am assuming there is a clause in his contract or something.

Kessel scores 9 points on way to a 10-9 Leafs SO loss.

Book it.

Teflon Shawn, lol that's good. We always just called him stone hands. But apparently I'm calling him Teflon now. PS, Belanger is the French Flash.

I think (well, hoping TBH) that Hall, Eberle, and RNH rise to the occasion on the biggest stage in hockey. Remember the game against the Leafs in TO last year? Hall and Eberle were dynamite.

Why does Petry have to be the one to sit? I swear it seems like people think that this guy is an AHL level player still which is beyond ridiculous. He is a fixture on the team now whether people like it or not as he should be although preferrably in a more reduced role. There are many other players that should sit before Petry in favor of Sutton.
