Canadiens assign Ryan White to the Hamilton Bulldogs for conditioning purposes

I guess that means he should be back and playing.. next week? Maybe by the weekend?

Don't we have 11 forwards now?

With Gionta/Moen/Nokes out, and White/Palushaj down, it does look like we're at 11. We've been playing with 11 forwards anyways. Are Nokes or Moen supposed to be close to returning?

what are the limitations for assigning players to conditioning stints. i'm kinda surprised teams don't utilize them more often.

i thought for sure montreal would have assigned gomez to a conditioning stint upon his return from injury but i guess they were just too desperate at thayt time.

Would've been nice to see Palushaj up for a few more games since he was looking more comfortable, I guess we can't play without 7 defensemen though...

Great news! It'll be nice to have him play for the last 25 games or so to see what he can do.

I wouldn't get excited.....

Lets see how he holds up in first 5 games.....

He and Markov both should be shut down till next year...extra time to heal.

There's nothing to hurry back for ..

Okay, a part of our 4th line will be back soon, great. But now Goatse () has to start focusing on giving that 4th line some identity. Acquire either Kyle Clifford, Brad Winchester or Brandon Prust for the O (or any other similar type of decent 4th/3rd liners who can drop the gloves 'n shi') and two of the following for the D (considering Hal Gill is traded and Weber GTFO's because he's been disappointing this season): Bryan Allen, Jim Vandermeer, Matt Carkner or Cory Sarich.

And there you have it, everything that's wrong in this team is solved besides the lack of a decent coach and a GM with balls. Oh, and I forgot the mentioning of Darche not being resigned. I have nothing against the dude, but he always came out to me as that element which somehow blocks us from acquiring identity in that bottom 6. I mean sure, he plays his heart out there, but this guy has those boring elements to his game (which is proven by his lack of goals, hits, any balls to his physical game in general).

it has to be a mutual agreement
that's why you rarely see a "star" player do a conditioning stint

So how does the leagues worst PP improve?

Here's hoping we grab Anthony Stewart off waivers and we can have a real 4th line.

White, Stewart and Darche/Blunden/Moen. I would love to see this happening.

Very nice, now one can only hope Markov is not far behind so we can see how rusty he is at this point.

People getting excited about Ryan White, pretty much sums up how bad this season really has been.
