I kept meaning to resurrect this idea, thanks for reminding me.
Looks like there are 2 specific games, 3/10 and 3/20, where we had the most votes and there were people saying those were the only dates they could do it. So maybe we could have 2 meetups?
I don't think I'll be able to attend anything on 3/10 (going to the Earthquakes season opener), if someone else is willing to plan that one out.
I can go on 3/20 if people still want to go then...
Why don't we shoot for the 3/10 game against PHX. Anyone have any good recommendations for sports bars in SF? Mad Dog in the Fog is a beer bar in Lower Haight that is a nice place to watch a game. Yancy's Saloon in the Inner Sunset is another good place to watch a game. I used to go there all the time and they were very accommodating for Sharks games. It's on the N line and you can bring food in. Depending on how belligerent and aggressive Kitten Mittons gets, maybe we can do it again on the 20th
There is not enough booze in the world to make me enjoy watching Phoenix play... Philly on the 28th!
How did I skip the Philly game? The 28th works for me. Anybody else??
edit: I realize now the Flyers game is at home, that's why it wasn't a part of the poll. Still though, it's absolutely an option if people want to take part...

Would you be willing to be the contact person for the game on the 10th? If not, anybody else willing to?
You guys are talking about San Francisco proper, right? Because i keep seeing people write "Bay Area" like it's synonymous.
Well, the Blackthorn is a pretty great place to watch a game. I used to stop there after work with my buddy for the early games... until he moved away. <sad face>
Anyway, it's on the N line, has plenty of screens including one giant one in the corner. They'll play the audio through their stereo system, and it's not technically a sports bar... which is a point in its favor as far as i'm concerned. No food though~

I think SF proper is the idea. Blackthorn is great. Next to Yancy's. We could do half and half

Ya' know, i've lived around here for almost ten years and have never been to Yancy's once. Not sure why. I kinda' pinball back and forth between The Duck, Fireside and Blackthorn. Maybe we should all just go to the Kilowatt for the Sharks-Red Wings game. That would probably go over really well.
Anyway, even if this thing falls through, i wouldn't mind meeting up for a game afterwork sometime if anyone's ever in the neighborhood.

I'll be at Blackthorn on Irving for tonight's game if anyone wants to join. I'll be sporting a black Thornton jersey (with an A on the chest). I know this wasn't one of the more popular choices in the poll, but feel free to come out and watch the game!

Mods! I'd like to file a complaint. Rude did not live up to his username. He was very polite in person. I'm not okay with this.
We need a bigger group next time!
it is also very polite to sign your name after each time you write....tsk tsk
If there was a good bar somewhere near a CalTrain station where everyone could meet up I reckon more people could show.
